General discussion / Re: Christmas Parties

We had a lunch at 12.30 but snuck 1 in Kehoes just off Grafton St before it.
Even then it was filling up. Went back after and it was full full at 3pm.
Can't beat the classic pubs.

We paid for our own meal and a bit extra for a person leaving this year...

As a nation they are more concerned about the renaming of a park in Dublin and the Eurovision than the genocide a few miles up the road - that's all you need to know.

Their involvement is an absolute pain for the organisers but they are terrified to turf them out. Having to add sound effects to drown out the boos. Putting up with heavy-handed security and lots more.

Then there is the whole rigged voting that the EBU probably are happy with as it's pay per vote! But now they need to be seen to sort that too.

He could have had his name on a pub, a SuperValu and all sorts but he chose another way.
Like surely there were easier ways to get some coin, so he obviously got a kick out of it all.

The thing is Arsenal had him exposed a lot but when they moved him up the field a bit he is class

If he has legs around him he can do damage. Very happy for Sunderland.

Andrews will have some more wobbles but these big wins really boost a manager.
Like he lost 30 goals and the captain this year and they are still decent.
Fair play!

Why do people listen to their local TD canvassing if they are FF or FG.
One they get in they just do what they are told.
FG and FF cant just say yeah we made a balls of it.

Also, Spoil the Vote heads are out claiming every one for Steen.
One flashed up on RTÉ News for Marie Steen. Bertie got some and so did Dustin the Turkey.

That narrative needs stopping too.

Maria Steen fans no doubt. The person we NEEDED on the ballot to represent their views...

Lookit all those youth wings of parties are loaded with creeps but Aontú usually project their image better.

How the f**k can a Garda van be burned or lines be pushed back.
Surely they knew what was coming tonight, so why were they not ready?!
Its the same shower kicking off online and instigating it.

I went to a game with my mate recently abd he gas 3 lads. The wife is a teacher and sge runs a tight ship in terns of screens.
The youngest was Skibidi this abd that bit had never seen it. They are just repeating stuff.

YouTube kids is safe once you are signed in, but parents dont realise they can swap profiles and get to all the other stuff.

RTEJR is safe there no ads or comments- https://youtube.com/@rtejrofficial?feature=shared

But any parent who let's a kid under 12 near TikTok is insane. It's an awful place for young people.

Cadbury is shite for years. There's some good Irish brands like Aines Chocolates and they are not that much dearer. They maje a zesty lime thats lovely.

The Tony stuff is tasty too but not local.

From the Journal...

When asked about Fine Gael barrister who represented clients in other controversial cases, Humphreys said "barristers have a job to do".

"The point I am making is, how can you stand up and give out and criticise and castigate banks and at the same time you're working for them to repossess houses".

I notice that in the various reports about Burke and Connolly interaction there's never a mention of head the ball supporting Heather.
There are always a few ambushed when people are canvassing but the people tend to find out about political motivation abd who they support.

In fairness without Shane Walsh transfer Naas would have at least 1 provincial.
Ah they have so much depth that it's so hard to beat them.
Also in Kildare other big towns dont always compete, so can't argue them getting their house in order.

Naas are going for 5 in a row in Kildare today and I do think they could crack Leinster.
Not sure if that Ballyboden team has as much as the Crokes ones far stopped them previously.

The hope is Athy put it ip to them, but don't see it.

Enoch has entered the room!
After a classic Burkean move of rocking up to where CC was speaking then roaring assault he was recorded calling for people to support HH.

I do love Bridges of the more modern crop.
Nate Berzagi is v dry too.

If you look on socials now nearly all the comefy clips served up are banter or rows with the audience.
