Quote from: Keyser soze on December 19, 2025, 09:44:49 AMPeople picking teams comprised of a majority of players who never managed to win back to back championship games afair over players who have won back to back Ulster championships. Mindblowing.

Quote from: Rossfan on December 16, 2025, 09:23:02 AMIts a fixture not a rule.
Ulster team v Connacht team should mean a Leinster venue with a Leinster or Munster Ref.

what a juvenile perspective. Any ground that is not on within the boundary of the two counties involved is neutral ffs. Trying to get a balance of distance for both teams is a different point. The ref, I know if I was from Scotstown I wouldn't want McQuillian who is from Ulster.

Have any of you any sense at all, there is zero chance of a league play off 4/5 days before a championship game.

Quote from: jb77 on July 30, 2025, 10:50:46 PMLachlan Murrays constant injury battles hardly helps, he shows what's he about with the power and kicking now and again like the Donegal game but rarely 100%

Maybe the likes of C Mcateer or Sean Kearney could help maybe not. Eamon young looks like a force in his limited time so far with newbridge seniors, only out of minors though. Championship will be the answer

You do realise that size and power matters at the top end of winning championships at county level. Kerry haven't a starting forward under 6ft. This is one of Tyrone's major problems, all there best scoring forwards are small by county standards.  Conal (I think thats his name) Higgins has all the attributes needed for county football, big, fast and has a football brain, injured most of the year but hopefully will get over that and continue to progress, Sargent another young player injured but has size and power.

I don't think the 50m penalty was there, thats more accurately what I think is a ballox

The 4m protection on the player who catches a kickout is some bollox of a rule.
And I agree completely on the tackle. One ref thinks the game is basketball, the other lets contact occur.
You only have to look at Sundays Connacht final. Watch the tackles the refs punished in the first 15 minutes of the game compared to what he permitted as tackles the last ten minutes, a contradiction in one game.

I seen a photo of a player from Newbridge whose hand was damaged apparently via a stud at the weekends game, was told who it was but don't want to report anything unless its true. I mean, I have never seen anything like in all the years involved in sport. I am hoping its not true

Quote from: Silver hill on April 24, 2025, 09:23:05 AMTyrone kicked the ball into their forwards at every opportunity. We tried to run it every time. Our management haven't evolved under the new rules unfortunately for that group of players.

In a nut shell.

30 points a 17 point win, why at this stage are there complaints about the squad selection?
You'd almost think they'd been hammered in the first game reading some of the comments here. Embarrassing stuff. Are some of us just never happy?  ::)
My comments weren't in regards to the team or performance. Delighted to see progress. We have a lad playing mf, delighted for him, good player with a good future. Doesn't mean we can't comment that a few others have been treated poorly.

Derry were bt after extra time in the Ulster final against Tyrone last season, truth is they had the win and blew it. Tyrone went on to win the All Ireland. Your trying to tell me 3/4 players who played in that final aren't good enough to get on this yrs panel next mind play and btw they are a year older therefore better players than last season. I thinks its insulting to them.

I listened to a podcast where Horse Devlin a while back, can't recall the name of the podcast, took responsibility for the keeper fiasco in the Donegal game. He said he was forceful in persuading Harte to go with it. The Chamber one is a real puzzle as my lad is pal with a few Bellaghy cubs from school and he is not injured & playing with Bellaghy.

Shea Downey left because he wasn't being given a look in. Baffling when you see a few of the players being used with no size nor power.

Are you serious. Outfield keepers will be crucial now. Imagine 12 v 11 inside the 65. 4 or 5 attacking players going inside the 20m line to leave a 6v5 or 5v4 in a sweat box from the 65m to 20m line to set up two pointers. This will be the biggest innovation and teams whose keepers bring that extra value.
