I understand your point Border but the CB lads aren't placing massive emphasis on these early rounds. Similar to Camross, Camross can often show poor form early and have a surprising loss/draw.. but year in year out those 2 teams have dominated Laois hurling for the past 10 years. They know they really only have to peak for the Semi & finals on a typical year. So, we have to take a more holistic view using recent years, and their county players performances into account.
Re the Harps - We're all expecting a lot of them based of underage success and unfortunately for them it's the first comment out of anyone's mouth when they fail. They have some super young talent but let me invite you all to remember the BK minor / u21 teams of about 15 years ago. PJ, the Dunphys, Joe Campion, Finan, Fleming, Butch etc. A very strong, dominant underage team but they only turned it into 1 senior title. And don't forget every other team will bring forward a player or 2 every year, we can't be blinded by the fact Harps are bringing 1 or 2 extra on top of that.
