Desertmartin were well organised and had too much pace for Greenlough. The goalkeeper, Mc eldowney and Mc elhennon were excellent for Desertmartin.
Magherafelt brought a hunger that Newbridge weren't prepared for nor could they match it. Conal Higgins is a special talent,but they had a number of star performers.


On a negative point, Celtic park is a white Elephant. The pitch was in excellent condition but it had to be because it doesn't get any games! If it doesn't get any games it's pointless having it.

County footballers and Hurlers have been using Celtic park, ladies county teams using Owenbeg for league, that'd be week on week tramping at the worst of winter.

Clubs weren't as willing to use their grounds for County finals this year either as you'd expect which has led to some underage finals being played on the Owenbeg 4g which is hardly appropiate

Had my oldest, whos on the spectrum as theyd say, at a kick boxing class the other night, picking him up and instructor takes me aside and said about him making noises and other kids laughing at him, he didnt seem to notice and id never witnessed others making fun of him at school or football (most of the kids at football are from his school anyway). Id have thought most kids would be used to ones being a bit odd these days so was disappointed this has started to happen, part of me is glad hes in his own little world so didnt notice the taunts but the more he stays in his world the more fun is going to be poked at him

Think that u13 competition is so they can get a better idea for seeding u14 leagues next year as there was a lot of chopping and changing this year.

U21/20/19 badly missed would be relatively easy to fit in with most teams wrapped up for the year
