I have seen posters on here call for the abolition of replays as a measure to ease fixture congestion.

I would agree with this and further suggest that as means of deciding games still drawn at the end of extra time, that quite simply the last team to have scored is deemed the victor. No penalties nor special rules and there would be great excitement in teams having to push on for a 2 point lead to give them any margin at all.

the DUP would absolutely love you to spoil your vote - the only way you can hold them accountable is by voting for others.

Saying they are all as bad as each other in so many words is really irrelevant as an argument to spoil a vote. If, by wielding your vote, one crowd of incompetents is displaced by another, at least you would have contributed to a principle of electoral accountability and send a message that absolutely staggering RHI level incompetence will not be tolerated.

In all honesty, I would view a spoiled vote as effectively a small scale endorsement of the DUP, as its only practical effect would be to contribute to a preservation of the status quo.

Seems the newly commissioned Strangford Ferry vessel, which was purpose built at a cost of £6M, can't be used as it is unable to dock at high tide as the ramps don't drop down low enough to allow vehicles to disembark.

without knowing jack about the project can they not just install an adjustable hydraulic ramp on the edge of the jetty to meet it?

I don't think you can compare this to guerrilla warfare elsewhere. You could wipe ISIS off the map in the middle east and have this happen again. You are fighting deranged individuals who pick up murderous intent from YouTube etc and have no thought for self preservation at all. 'Organisations' just claim them as brethren after. There is no command structure to destroy or negotiate with. Very scary times.

Red Hand Man, really have to commend you on being brave enough to open up and share your pain on here. Depression is a disease and not a sign of weakness, you should treat it like any other disease and go see the doctor about it. Even the act of sitting down and opening up to someone will start to lift this gloom off your shoulders. Very likely you would be speaking to a GP who will have have had dozens of people through the door with the same dark thoughts and misery. They will know exactly how to deal with it and will listen to you very patiently. Pick up the phone tomorrow morning and book an appointment, and keep the momentum going from opening up on this forum.

I would echo other posters on being active. If you think about, id say your depression would likely be bad at times when you are on your own or inactive, and at its worst when you are both.

Be not solitary, be not idle. Take on a new challenge, enter a 10k or half marathon, take on an evening class, take on a new sport or pastime by joining a local club, there are lots of ways to challenge yourself into activity and social interaction.

First step though, book in to see the doctor and know that everyone on here would back you 100% on opening up about how you feel. You're not on your own and people will support you in getting better, seek help and you will get it

Red hand man, get talking to anyone at all if you can and if you cant, at least sharing your feelings on a forum like this is a brave step and you are the better man for it. There are many on here who will take you on board in all seriousness and sympathy.

Getting through tonight will be a step in the right direction and the atmosphere tomorrow will take care of itself.

There will always be people out there who will listen to you and support you at any hour of the day - even complete strangers  The more you reach out the more you will find this out I promise. And a number of people on here have had serious experience with depression and will volunteer plenty of advice and know exactly where you are coming from. However you get through tonight, just remember you are absolutely not alone and never forget it!

Vlad beat alot of blown up cruiserweights he could paw away (illegally) with his big jab. Met a half decent big guy with a longer reach who could do the same to him and he was fûcked. Him continually clinching inside rather than trying to mix it with the big man really put paid to the idea he has a high boxing IQ. One note is the best way to describe him tbh.

Calling it a jab is the wrong term for it. Most of the time it was a clubbing motion that doesn't even resemble a punch. Best jab in decades my arse - big tall lad who can club v poor fighters equals a lot of wins.

Was wondering if it wasn't possible to get out of the car during the time that the conversation was happening with the onlooker?

If the driver was talking to the bystander would it not have been possible to open the door or get out the window?

I guess there was some reason why that didn't happen.

Had been thinking about that earlier, im sure as a driver you would be in a panic pushing the brake/spinning the wheels in reverse on the algae, and not daring to leave the car plunging into the water with the kids in the back. At the same time im not sure if those in the back were old/able enough to jump out the rear doors before it went over the edge.

All speculation and im sure he could have been shouting to the onlooker in seconds with the car stuck not moving either way, and then when it went it could have gone fast and no time to jump out.

The fact that there is some sort of rotation system between the two clubs as to which gets entered into what Ulster cship says it all really! Neither club is Junior level standard (I've watched both and know the county players involved). Derry county board should have you playoff in an intermediate final to decide who represents the county in Ulster. Its only one match but happens a lot in Co Down etc and you were only getting one match at senior cship anyway.

Whether you think we are junior standard or not is a moot point in laying the blame at our door (why?) as when it comes to the tier we play at we were not the decision makers here.

p.s. the team we are playing in the junior final, Glenmore of Kilkenny, have 2 All Stars and 3 of the players have 8 All Ireland medals between them. How do we dwarf that from our lofty heights of getting hammered in the first round of the Derry championship by Swatragh?
