Squeaky enough at the end there when we should've been out of sight.

Both disallowed goals were contentious but them's the rules I guess.

Glad to see Jota back especially with Salah heading away.  Quansah has been a great find, you'd wonder why we were sniffing around the likes of Colwell in the summer when we had him in the ranks

Quote from: thewobbler on December 24, 2023, 04:34:56 PMI'd reckon that if Spurs are still in touch come the January break they'll still be in touch come May. None of the challengers, even if they spend wisely in January, are getting the boost they'll get from Maddison, Van De Ven and Bentacur coming back

Losing Son, Bissouma and Sarr for a time due to international tournaments

Second lowest goal scorers in the league level with Luton. Never thought I'd see those sort of stats for a Utd team.

What's the latest on the mini takeover? And what will be achieved by this? Immediate changes, long term plan or both?

Hard to know whether to stick with ETH or not. I would say yes as they can't keep just sacking the manager. Lots of players to come back from injury, whether they are  much better than what they currently have remains to be seen. One thing is though they don't have any forwards to come back who will add goals. Is there money available in Jan? If so they will probably get shafted.

Status only matters to people who don't have it.
It is easy to be judgemental of people who apparently spend well beyond their means at Christmas, but for many who do without all year, it is a chance to spoil their family.
Must be selling abit of powder or how the hell are they affording that.

Tony 'its easy to be judgemental".....

Armagh " must be selling bitta powder"......

🤣🤣

Same here...I have to do it every night so happy days. Have you any extravagant plans to communicate this to the childer or is he just not coming back next year full stop with no explanation?

The only thing I don't like about Christmas is the usual panic attack from the wife about getting things done or bought. Happens every year and every year everything turns out just fine

Anyone with an once credibility does not even attend.

Raducano won the US Open.

The first British women since 1977. If that doesn't qualify her to win it I don't know what would

Flip sake I thought this was sorted, QYJ conceded and all!! ;D

No Arsenal were top after 20 league games. They were actually top 19 through 22 games played

Quote from: quit yo jibbajabba on December 13, 2023, 09:26:08 PMArsenal finished 2nd 😜
Ah I'm not here to fight lol. I vaguely recall a match where Leics beat them with a typical smash and grab maybe if Arsenal had won that one they would've been in prime position

Anyway. Up the villa. Good ebening 😆

I think we might be both right, maybe me just being a wee bit more ;D

Arsenal were top after 20 odd games but from 25 games on Spurs were chasing them. Arsenal were 4th with 3 games to go. Spurs finished DLL and Arsenal pipped them to 2nd

It was spurs...I remember Kane posting something like a pride of Lions moving in for the kill...they ended up 3rd!

Quote from: brokencrossbar1 on December 13, 2023, 11:20:18 AMAll set up for a United win at Anfield on Sunday!!!  Nothing to lose,  pressure off,  all pressure on LFC we table toppers...United will take great pleasure in being party poopers!!

In both games last year, the form team coming in lost. The OT game at the start of the season, days after United were hammered at Brentford, relaunched Rashford. And United went to Anfield with one defeat in 11 games, just won the LC and knocked Barcelona out in Europe, while Liverpool were hopelessly inconsistent.

I don't think Liverpool are even in great form despite being top of the keague. Struggled for wins against Fulham, Palace and Sheff Utd and played okay for the draw with city. Goals from the front 3 have dried up as well.

Where were Rashford and Martial?

Did Maguire and Shaw go off injured?
