General discussion / Re: Prayers for baby Oisin
October 20, 2009, 11:58:55 PM
Thanks for the prayers and Im releived to announce that following the surgery Oisin is so far doing ok.
The poor wee lad had a 60mm diameter piece of his skull removed to access the clot so as you can imagine he is very swollen and bruised, even his right eye is closed over.
He is conscious but obviously very tired and needs his rest. Hes not out of the woods yet but hes doing as well as can be expected. He is a strong wee boy and fighting hard.
Our most sincere thanks go to all of those involved in Oisins surgery and continuing care and we trust hes in the best possible hands.

Thanks again everyone.

A note to ask for your prayers for Oisin.

My sisters one year old son has been ill this past week and after three visits to the doctor was in his mothers arms Sunday night when he had a fit. Mum and Dad took him to A&E where he was kept overnight for observation and sent for a cat scan Monday morning where he was found to have a blood clot on his brain. He was air-lifted straight away from Kerry to the Pheonix Park and had a police escort to hospital where he underwent surgery. Both old and new blood was found on his brain and was removed. He is now out of surgery and in the recovery room under intensive care. According to the surgeon the operation went well and we're hopefull of a full recovery.

Many thanks.

Quite often this team is featured in Ireland programmes (eg last Saturday's Italy match) and the squad has been introduced to the crowd at the interval etc.

One thing always puzzled me however. When they play away games do the lads sleep in doorways and park benches in the likes of Paris, Brussels etc? Its hardly ideal preparation?

Finished work early one day about a year ago and the homeless world cup (I think) was on the box.
The Irish team was made up totally from Dubs who reached the semi final. Apparently our best player was the goalkeeper. Unfortunate because he couldnt play in the match because he was completely off his face on drugs.

We lost ::) ::) ::)

Next week Frank will be bringing us the Top 10 Biggest Bigots in Ulster. Where will Nelson McCausland come?
All over Willie Frazer's face.

Time will tell if its to be chb or chf but I trust the managerial team will make the correct decision after watching him with An Rioch and having a yarn with him. How many games do they have left?

Welcome home Marty!

So are you still playing for the reserves no.1? Good to see young Merron playing. Coached him at u-16. Handy enough player and so is his brother.
