The show "Abducted in Plain Sight" on Netflix is wall to wall WTF material. In fact it was so much WTF that i cant believe it. Those parents have to have been complicit surely. Waited 5 days to report their child missing. Both had affairs with the man and even let him sleep in their child's bed 4 nights a week, after the 1st f*ckin abduction.

https://www.theguardian.com/society/2019/feb/06/he-was-a-master-manipulator-abducted-in-plain-sight-and-the-truth-about-abuse
Watched the first 40mins of this and found it to be so ridiculous turned it off, the amount of WTF moments was unbelievable.

Pure insane, there was completely WTF comments the whole way through this! Who gets in a car and someone asks his church mate to jerk them off as his wife is not "sorting out his needs" during his lunch hour????!!!

If this wasn't a true story you wouldn't have watched anything after the first 5 minutes as it was so unbelievable it really beggared belief.

Was the Da a bit lacking in intelligence?  Pulling yer man off in the car, then his wife has an affair with the same fella, who's also sharing a bed with their daughter, then taking off to Mexico with the wee girl and when they finally brought back dropped the charges against him.

These LDS types are really fucked in the head, Bundy used them as cover as well IIRC.

General discussion / Re: What TV to Buy
December 19, 2018, 08:31:43 AM
Purchased this last weekend - Samsung ue55nu7100, I'm thinking I should be able to pick up the RTÉ signal on this TV since I can get RTÉ on another TV in the house from the aerial. I ran through the setup twice once with the region set to UK and the other time the region was set to Ireland. When I selected the Ireland option the TV picked up approx. 25 less channels, so I've it switched back the the UK as default region. Anyone any ideas?

Great finish to the show. Davey would be a serious man for getting ye riled up, reminds me of how good Paul Grimley was when he came in to help our Minor team in 99/2000.

Would it be too late to order off these site for Christmas
You'd be cutting it fine I think, anything I've ordered lately from DHGate takes approx 2 weeks to arrive.

Anyone know where I could get my hands on a coaching manual written by Colm Nally?

Think he's a Louth lad who does a bit of coaching with Leinster GAA.

Try reaching out to him directly on Twitter - find him under @colmnally

He put a tweet up there recently - all his manuals have gone, @GaameCoaching (Colm Crowley Cork GPO) has a games based coaching book and a nursery guide as well.

So in South Antrim there is a whole fixture list set up so that all club from u10 down get games instead of having to ring around all the time to arrange your own. It works great. The scores aren't kept and go games rules are applied.

However there are many many tournaments organised too by different clubs both inside and outside of the county. Generally you are only permitted to bring 12 players and are therefore left with a predicament. Do you rotate and give everyone a go? Or do you bring your strongest 12 to those tournaments. Most other clubs are bringing their strongest so I think that's what you do. Don't think there's anything wrong with teaching kids the nature of championships/tournaments. So long as throughout the year all of your kids are getting a fair crack on a weekly basis I think it's OK to bring your stronger kids to tournaments.

Similar setup in Armagh and I know our club rotate the squads every weekend to give every child a chance to play. There's a lot to be said for going to a blitz were there's no silverware on offer and to a tournament with a cup were expectations from parents/players/coaches seem to go through the roof. However I do like the tournament for, mat were a club has to bring 2 teams and the result is based on the aggregate score from both teams. I've witnessed the antics of some coaches @ U10 this year and tbh it's shocking; bringing squads to 10 a side tournaments and not giving the subs a fair go, encroaching on the pitch to shout instructions, abuse referees... madness. Just Let Them Play

Too soon?  ;)

Just wondering if anyone could recommend a nice hotel that does a good Santa experience. Travelling from Tyrone but don't mind going 3 hrs. Have done most of the Donegal ones and Santa's cottage Newry. Have limited holidays in Dec so wanted to try and get something booked early. Might be one of the last years for the oldest.

How old is your oldest? Do you need to tell them the truth about Santa at some point before they find out through other means?

Just back from a week in Duinrell with Al Fresco. Great week with plenty to do on site between the theme park and water pool. The park & pool opened @ 10am but the pool closed @ 10pm and the park @ 6pm. For the park it's good to be in early to beat the queues on some of the rides, for the pool the evening time seemed a bit quieter - there's also an outdoor pool but it is only opened randomly.
On site itself there's a central area (Plaza) with 2 food places and a bar/games room downstairs and another room that hosted the evening activities e.g. bingo, kids disco - never really bothered with this too much kids had did enough during the day that in the evening time they were happy enough to relax and recharge. For getting around there's the option to hire bikes, go karts (can't be taken off site) or a pedal buggy thing with 4 seats - we went for bikes and they were brilliant. The town of Wassenaar isn't far, there's a beach 4km away and the cycle lanes are fantastic, making getting around safe. Our kids are 9, 5 & 2 and they had a blast but I def recommend this places for older kids as well. The weather is much like here only a little warmer and drier.

Now I'm looking for options next year - OH fancies an all inclusive hotel stay, somewhere that has a waterpark type thing. We've already looked at Club Mac in Alcuida and Lanzasur Splash Resort (any reviews on these places?). Any other recommendations for other places would be appreciated.

DHgate is another option, my sister used it recently to get kid kits and they are a good job.

The Electrician should have been able to test the coil by doing an Insulation resistance test on it. This would tell you if the element is broke or not.
Is it a pipe stat that trips or is it tripping something in your fuse box?
LL nothing in the fusebox is being tripped, its the thermostat inside the immersion itself. Spark tested the element and can see the current going through it. Next step replace only the stat?
Ok so it's the the thermal cutout on the stat that's tripping? I think this is the problem
What temperature is the stat set to? When I checked last night it was in between 60-70, what should it be at? Have you tried turning it down a bit? Those stats wouldn't always be calibrated correctly so it could be making the water hotter than you think and it's tripping the thermal cutout. atm I'm unable to use the reset button on the stat, but I'll get a replacement and try turning it down

Yeah first thing I would do is get another stat.
If you're lucky it was just a faulty stat if it's not the stat then you are going to have to investigate why the stat is tripping out out on the thermal cutout. The only way this will trip (if the stat isn't faulty) is that the temperature has reached the high limit.
Just a thought but would have maybe another source of heat? As in is the immersion element the only thing heating the water in the cylinder? Have you a back boiler or central heating that would also heat the tank?
Also a build up of limescale could be a cause.
Central heating also heats the water in the tank, but it has not been on at the same time that the immersion has been switched on.
