Our lady and st Patricks Knock are entering the McRory cup for the first time ever, this is a massive achievement for the Belfast clubs and a great boost for East Down Gaels who are continually watching the Newry schools getting all the glory. That should be the aim of the Red High, to become a consistent McRory cup school, the clubs that feed the schools are strong clubs, this should be a target for Down GAA!

Where could i find fixtures for the macrory games?

Can clubs do something about their members abusing the county board social media page? These people are volunteers who give up their time to post scores. We have never had better access to scores and games ever.

I would second this - all voluntarily done. Credit given where credit due, nobody is perfect

Seen this the other day, and spoke with others about it also....

Football, keeper kicks the ball out, defender/midfielder catches the ball, the ref as usual blows for the mark and is claimed by catcher, the player then passes the ball back to the keeper.. play on or foul?

Foul -

Rule 2.7(a) and (c) applies.
• Kick-out shall be taken from the ground at the centre of 20m line.
• Kick-out cannot be kicked backwards.
• All players to be outside 20m line, 13m from the ball and outside the semi-circle arc.
• Goalkeeper not taking the kick-out shall remain in the small rectangle.
• If the defender is kicking out the ball, the rule does not prevent the ball been played
back to the defender.
• The ball shall not travel less than 13m and outside the 20m before been played by
another member of the defending team.
• The player who directly receives the ball from a kick-out cannot pass the ball back to
the goalkeeper without another person playing it. Free to be taken from where the
Goalkeeper receives the ball.

o "Pass" means all passes, including kick passes (from the hand or the ground)
and hand passes.
o To "Pass the ball directly back to goalkeeper" should be interpreted as cannot
be passed to the goalkeeper, regardless of direction.
o Free is conceded when the Goalkeeper plays the ball.

In regard to streaming of the SFC;

All matches can be bought individually for £5 or a bundle offer for all six games is available at a price of £18. There is also a Super Sunday bundle for the three games at a price of £10

Hopefully the quality of the service is good. its great value for anyone who wants to watch from home.

Maybe it was just myself and my internet but I paid for a few games last year from the Down championship last year with Pairc and the quality was decidedly dodgy with constant freezes.
Was that a problem for anyone else or just my bad luck?

My own was grand for the games i didnt get to live. playback feature was good also.

sayign that i run off superfast fibre - i imagine it takes a fair bit of bandwidth

Was at the Aviva Last night - lets not kid ourselves, 1st half was absolutely dire. We had to wait til the Serbs went 1 up to even look like we wanted to move the ball forward. Felt bad for Adam idah - often left lone up top against 2 vastly experienced centre halfs.

Relied on Bunzanu to pull us out of a hole on a number of occasions, which he did - absolute shining star for us.

I felt McClean had a much better game, played with real hunger and passion.

Why did we have to wait til the 2nd half to press up and look like we wanted to score though?? Seemed to be serious support across the stadium for kenny last night - i'd be on that too. We were never going to qualify and it has been a good chance to blood new youngsters. He should be marked on the next campaign.

We can argue he doesn't have the players, but he choses not to pick his best ones.

Bazunu has the shirt, but a part time player ahead of Randolph?

Randolph is 3rd choice GK at West Ham - He left his previous club to sit on the bench for a PL team and pick up an easy pay packet. good servant but his time is gone

Bazunu is 1st choice at portsmouth, still learning his trade however at least he plays week in week out.
