re offloading players, Im I the only one who would keep Borini over Lambert? (maybe contracts, wages etc would mean it may be too expensive to offload Lambert). He's a decent big burly forward but, well thats about it

I said recently that the only time I ever went postal at the ground on a Liverpool player was Bruno Cheyrou. I think it was against Villa in 2003 - my mind tells me it was Bolton on New Year's Day 2002 but he hadn't been signed then. Cheyrou had come on as a sub and not long after the ball pinged up in the air between him and a Villa player. It's not an exaggeration to say that as the Villa player jumped, Cheyrou actually lost a few inches as he crouched down under the challenge. He simply chickened out of any kind of effort to win the ball, and I went absolutely batshit crazy from my perch in the Upper Anny. He did have give a memorable performance against Newcastle in the FA Cup a year later, but it was unforgiveable. Still haven't.

Was that Villa match in 03 the day the new scoreboard was switched on? Cheyrou was warming up in front of us. Boys shouting the odd bit of craic in broken french and he looked as bemused as anything.

I need some TV help.

Due to the fact I turned off the UPC box - the last episode of Homeland did not record on RTE.

I tried looking it up on RTE player but for some reason it doesn't appear. Anyone know where I could get the last episode online?

McKeever is just living up to the great line of teak tough man markers from the true spiritual capital of Ireland.
He follows in the footsteps of many brawn over beauty type players where getting the ball only comes 2nd. Canavan was his first love for a few years and how it sums up the Armagh psyche that he and most Armagh fans were proud as punch that he got sent off in 2005.
Stevie ONeill was a harder but for Killer McKeever to handle and paid the ultimate price giving away the winning free in the 2005 semi. I'm sure it was another dive though. Poor Armagh have suffered a lot due to diving and could probably have overtaken Cavan in All-Irelands had it not been for diving.

So Cavanagh is his latest fancy man and Sean's temperament means he won't fall for the get me sent off shit that so many try with him.

At least McKeever is popular down the country in Laois and now Dublin. A Colourful character who will bring spice to every game who likes to make space for others around him by leaving the playing field early and often tries to take one or two others with him for an early shower.
Does anyone have stats on his red cards.

He wouldn't come across as the brightest of lads....maybe thats unfair....it just seems that he lets "being a ****" get in the way of fairly decent footballing abilities...shame...I always half-liked him but he just behaves like a tool now

are Tyrone folk really giving out about other county players behaving like tools on the field??!! some craic
Are Derry folk really giving out about Tyrone folk giving out about other county players behaving like tools on the field?

affirmative!

Ah don't stop lads this thread is the funniest thing I've read here in a long time.  ;D

Two former super-powers more corncerned about knocking the shite out of each other in a mickey mouse match while Dublin and Kerry win All-irelands.

You couldn't make it up ;D Its the best entertainment here in along time.

More so not winning all Irelands you mean? The biggest underachievers in the modern ear by a country mile

Our county board must be growing balls, the county treasurer is having a go at Ciaran McKeever om twitter. Or is it just the Moy in him?

www.twitter.com/@MacEoghain

In tweets and replies

@cmckeever6 Ciaran, can you honestly answer why you deliberately target Sean Cav in every melee? Seeing as your such a lovely fella and all.

Ah, is our wee Sean getting picked on by big bad Ciaran?

busting to know if he got a reply...

Enda Muldoon (Derry), Paddy Bradley (Derry), Ciaran McDonald (Mayo) should all be on that team. Bradley was/is better than both Brown and Forde and did it consistently year in year out.  McDonald would have a strong argument for best 15 of this millenium and Muldoon was class personified.  Michael Meehan should be in there too, had a great 5 or 6 seasons.  Why no mention of Keith Higgins, another definite starter.

Being a big derry man and fan of paddy bradley i would still have to disagree on paddy being better than declan browne,Declan was a amazing player and if born in kerry would go down as a all time great imo.

Surely it would be Bradley instead of mattie ford, rather than for declan browne?
Paddy Bradley is/was better than all 6 forwards in that team.

Why is he not playing for derry then? What do you see that brian mcivor doesnt

McIvor is trying to move on and plan for the future.  Paddy Bradley is still the best forward in Derry

He hasn't been the best forward in Derry for a good few years now.

when fit he has. Who has been better? Who was the standout forward in this years club championship? (I'm excited as we could have a run at Ulster! ;-) )

Feel free to point out to the posters how Bradley faired when he played against the Tyrones or Armaghs in Ulster championship, scored a lot against poor opposition. But when the big games came against Tyrone and Armagh didn't count most of the time. That's the measure for me, sorry to be so cruel about it

how did any Derry player play against these boys? When was our last Ulster title? Bradley was minimum double marked and no one can perform miracles if they dont get a supply of the ball, though he near did on many occasions.  He busted his balls more than most during many many lean years.

During the Christmas break

Francis Ford Cortina's 'The Conversation' starring Gene Hackman. Decent enough ending but brutal apart from that. Far too slow going, artsie pants that hasnt aged well. 4.9-10

Expatriate starring Aaron Eackhart. Enjoyable CIA type job based in Europe. 6.4-10

The new Captain America. Very good I thought 7.5-10

V.I.P. B & W comedy set in the German POW camp. Good craic 7-10

Let's Be Cops. Sweet jayzus, DO NOT WATCH! dire stuff 0.1-10
