Goliath on Amazon Prime is half decent. Billy Bob Thornton as a burnt out lawyer.

I take this back after watching the second season. Complete horseshit.

I really enjoyed Season 2. I actually thought it was quite deep. It's sad, in a way, because it show us that justice doesn't always happen. We all want the nice happy ending where the hot lady mayor gets caught and locked up along with her evil brother, not necessarily in the same cell, but it doesn't happen, a lot like in life some times.
The ending was a bit of an anticlimax but it's very well set up for a third series. A solid 7 out of 10.

Episode 7 was one of the most preposterous pieces of TV I've ever seen.

You obviously haven't watched the Fly episode from Breaking Bad. I'll agree that episode 7 was quite preposterous but the previous episode was excellent.

General discussion / Re: 5 Sams - RIP

A few days late with this post, but it's nice to see his club and the community are remembering 5Sams in such a fitting way.

The inaugural Paddy Savage under-10 football tournament takes place this morning/afternoon in Fr Lynch Park.
After the tournament, Cathal Dixon will be on stage for an hour or two in the club, followed by the AISF semi final between Dublin and Galway at 5pm.
Football, music, more football, and a few pints. It's the kind of day Paddy would have loved. Call over and be a part of it.

Below is a photo from the 1982 Macrory semi final Paddy is on the goal line, wearing glasses. I'd have been at that game myself.

You need to use your PPS No when registering a vehicle so the reg will depend on the address that revenue have for you. You could always change your address before hand.

Very impressed with Allison yesterday, great distribution. Shaqiri is an absolute beast, could turn out to be an inspired signing and dare I say it a bargain. Of the young lads you would think Curtis Jones will see some game time in the cup competitions at least. The crowd just love Salah, great to see him signing stuff for the kids and throwing freebies into the crowd at the end.

Good one 5ive. I was wondering how long it would take you to comment. Glad to see your sense of humour appears to have mellowed since the days when your favourite approach was to threaten  to assault people like Pints of Guinness and Fearon

I think that little argument with pog was before your time on the board Dougie, unless....

Anyway how is Pints/Kevin keeping these days, still dieting?  :P Be sure to give him my regards.
To be honest I never discovered his identity. That's as true as God's in heaven.
But look, let's just agree to ignore each other. If you went to the bother of working out who he was that concerns me so let's leave it like that

You can stop with the threatening and abusive private messages, the obsession and general fuckwittery and then maybe you won't have to leave with your tail between your legs again.

I've been doing it for around 24 years since my kids were babies. Still doing it now they're grown up. Don't use it for our main holiday but take lots of weekends away in it and usually take a week down south in August. It's great craic. I'd be interested to know what you based your opinion on

Dougie and the family pictured on a previous family holiday.

Don't let the facts get in the way of your little story Dougie, like yourself Danny is a busted flush. He will now be washing dishes in a property he used to own  ::) Back in business alright.

Fitzpatrick's Bar and Restaurant was bought for more than €2 million.

Talk of the Town confirmed last week that Northern Irish firm JDM Group had bought the Rockmarshall pub with the intention of re-opening it in the coming weeks.

It has now been confirmed by The Belfast Telegraph that the sale of the premises, which was forced to close its doors in May, has been completed for £1.8 million (€2,021,220).
The paper reports today that the businessman behind west Belfast's devenish venue, Jim Conlon, will be running the business when it reopens.

Mr Conlon, director of JDM Management, also owns Wolf and Whistle bar, The Rock Bar, GymCo, Pizza Co and The Chip Co, as well as a nightclub in Glasgow.

JDM chef Carl Johannsson has taken to Facebook in recent weeks to recruit new chefs for the restaurant.

Fitzpatrick's, which had been run by Danny and Dympna Fitzpatrick since 1993, closed its doors suddenly on May 31st on the instructions of Bank of Ireland.

The property was then placed on the market through local estate agents Sherry FitzGerald Carroll in June with an asking price of €1.5 million.

The Belfast Telegraph article, which can be read here, confirms what Talk of the Town reported last week that former owner Danny Fitzpatrick will still be involved in the day to day operation of Fitzpatrick's.

Condolences on the loss of your friend and drinking buddy Lord Laird, looks like you both had a lot in common.

Looks like Phil the Greek may be joining him if the rumours are to be believed, you should get a day off work for that one Dougie.

When you're emptying the waste baskets in Buckingham Palace, please don't listen to anything you overhear and certainly don't post it on GAA Board without Ma'am's permission.

Did Carndale Enterprises Ltd lose the contract for the palace?  :P

I see the post pixies have been in during the night and cleaned things up. Proper order too, no one wants to read about two lecherous old men, one of them a recently deceased member of the house of Lords and the other an alleged GAA man watching soccer in one of the House of Parliament bars while chasing young girls from the SNP. As the old saying goes you lie down with dogs, you get up with fleas. Maybe that's what killed the dirty oul' bugger.
