This news has saddened me greatly, my thoughts and prayers are with Ardmhachaabu's family. May God grant him eternal peace.

C Cleaner usually pretty reliable, I'd revert back to the last restore point and reinstall.

Thinking of moving over to Sky too. I already have the Satellite, so I may as well go for telephone and broadband too. I hear it's a much better service than BT.

I actually just joined BT from Sky a few months ago. I was only averaging 2.5 meg on Sky and am now averaging 7 meg with BT on the same line. The Sky equipment is a little old hat too (Netgear routers).

I live in rural North Antrim so I suppose that isnt a bad speed.

A fella I know was on holiday in the South of France a few years ago. He took a trip down to Monaco and went into one of the high end casinos to see what the craic was. He was fit to see local builders in there playing the tables like they were royalty when their fathers 20 years ago were out laying 4" blocks and shuttering walls for silo pits.

How in the name of f@#k did those guys think it was going to end? Politicians, builders and bankers have conspired to drive this country back 40 years. Ordinary hard working tax paying citizens are living in misery with nothing to look forward to but more misery for the next 10 years.

After a Arctic start to the week it has really become quite mild, even warm in the mornings. At night it is still quite cold though.
I love the big roaring fire in winter time. No football training to be running it. First class.

So what's the most economical at the moment, coal or logs for my stove?

I use mostly logs but I always put a shallow layer of coal on top to put a 'crust' on the fire. I find a roaring fire is inefficient as most of the heat is going up the chimney. Best to keep a good heat ticking over and not consuming a pile of sticks.

Anybody else watching this tonight on RTE1?

Absolute madness, read Simon Kelly's book 'breakfast with Anglo' over the last few days and could not fail to be amazed at the greed of the last 10 years and how nobody realised the game was over.

How did we allow ourselves to get into this state?

Ulster Rugby emailing out today flogging SA tickets for £96 each, are they having a laugh?

Did anyone read the article at the weekend about the number of seats in the Aviva that are restricted view, up to 800 of them apparently. Bit dodgy when all the tickets are the same price.

thought i would start a thread so people on here can recommend a wine they have had to others,i am not one of these who can tell year or grape but love my wines and i had a class sauvignon blanc called wither hills from new zealand at the weekend.
The NZ Sauv Blanc would be up there with the best of them, next time you could try either the Montana, The Ned, Oyster Bay, Villa Maria sauvignon blanc's, or for those who like their reds Porcupine Ridge Syrah and Heartland Shiraz

Try Hunters vineyard for the Sauvignon - bit pricey, but a great bottle nonetheless.

The wife and I were in NZ a couple of years ago and stayed in the Marlborough area. We hired a couple of bikes and cycled around the vineyards. Its quite a small area and the roads are flat which makes it easy to do. You get to sample all the wines for free (self control required) Anyway probably the best vineyards we were in were Wither Hills and Highfield. Lovely wine, it was like lemonade.

If you're in M&S their Shepherds Ridge Sauv Blanc is actually Wither Hills, its a pound or so cheaper there.

I give up after second episode - all the jumping from different time periods wrecked my head!

Got in to "The mentalist" lately - class.

Fully agree, The Mentalist is a brilliant show.

Yet another example of a dangerous halfwit menancing the country because they are too workshy to get money from legitimite sources.

These are the types who should be put to work on our streets and roads, we will not see a drop in service provision with cuts if we use prison labour and I maintain it is a more effective deterrant to wouldbe criminals.
