General discussion / Re: best mattress?
November 06, 2017, 07:58:26 PM
What's the best mattress to go for? I'm after a super king size.

What is the price range of a decent mattress and where is best place to buy them at reasonable price?

General discussion / Re: Bike Racks & Roof Racks

I definitely think I will go with the tow bar mounted bike rake. Probably more money but probably the most secure and easiest to manage. Is there no one else but Halfords that does it?

Roof boxes for holidays which would be the best option to go for there?
Is Thule the best brand?

Folks hoping to buy a bike rack and roof rack for the holidays

Any suggestions on what would be and are the best

1. Tow bar mounted bike racks for possibly 4 bikes

2. Roof racks

Are Halfords the best supplier for both?

GAA Discussion / Re: Name The Players - NEW GAA App

I have been inputting the teams myself for a few launch/test games to get the app off the ground and raise awareness but eventually the clubs/counties/colleges will be inputting the teams themselves as it wouldn't be practically possible for me to do it.

Yea the Player of the Match vote is something I thought could be given to supporters more as pressure always on journalists etc to select their own and not easy for them. Gives the supporters at the game a greater voice.

Ah that A.N. Other buck had to be introduced due to missing jerseys as app would require someone in each number slot. He doesn't see much game time though the poor lad ;-)

Ok, was wondering how the inputting was going to work. You seem to have a good scattering of players on it already, fair play. Will mention to our club to get their profile up and players too. The club profiles would be handy for challenge matches etc for contacting clubs and that.

Actually came across this on Twitter and downloaded, looks pretty good app to be fair. Like the player and club profiles. Player of the Match vote interesting too as we debate many a game on who the best player was. Do you input the teams yourself or what way does it work?

Lads any good running watches out there that simply records time and distance? I did have a garmin with heart rate etc but it was too fancy. Simply want a nice one that does the time and tells distance accurately.

General discussion / Re: Tablets & Apps for kids

Does anyone have good advice on the best android tablet to buy for kids? We have an iPad which the kids use but screen is cracked and it is on its last legs anyhow. The Tesco Hudl is also impressive but it costs £100 each and I actually need to buy two android tablets to entertain both kids.

Any suggestions welcome.

Don't be getting too uptight lads. Dublin have always had the population, decent finances and big clubs. They are just going though a great period in their history and they happen to have in their squad right now some of the best players to represent the county in their history and when we look back in years to come  indeed some of the best players to ever play the game Connolly, Brogan, Cluxton to name a few. These players won't go on forever and while they will be replaced by good good players they won't totally dominate like they do now.

Lads has anyone got an online Western Union account for transferring money? Would you be happy enough with it?

General discussion / Registering an .ie Irish Domain
March 06, 2016, 05:08:22 PM
Folks

I'm looking to register an Irish .ie website domain but I'm told I need a Registered Business Number (RBN). Why is this and is there any way I can register a .ie domain without an RBN?

Maguires01 you would advise getting bridge camera then?
I would be using it for family occasions, on holiday & family photos plus maybe some action photos of children playing etc.

Anyone here have a digital bridge camera that they use and is good quality?
I have researched some SLR cameras and definitely one that stands out is the CANON EOS 1200D at £250 which is reduced a good bit too.

I am curious about the digital bridge cameras as I don't think I will be taking photos all the time and an SLR may be waste of mney.

Anyone know of anywhere where you can get VHS tapes transferred onto DVD.
I know www.happyireland.com does it but is £16 per tape not a bit steep? Surely bound to be somewhere cheaper.
