GAA Discussion / AI Final Ticket Swap
September 12, 2017, 11:27:12 AM
I'm a Derry man going down for our minors on Sunday. I've got 2x hill tickets, wondering does any Dub have 2 seated and want to swap (I'll pay the difference too)?

Who do people think will get motm? For me there was no standout performance from Galway, they shared the scoring, few solid performances in defence and the subs made a big impact. Could go to any of about 5/6, I'll take a stab with conor cooney just for scoring 3 from play 2 outrageous and winning his fair share of ball.

really sad to see this carry on going on in the GAA, i was at the Ulster final this year and the behaviour of the drunk Tyrone fans Behind the goals was embarrassing. Is there any way to keep these hooligans away from future games ?

Seems to me that people are really dragging up the slightest morsel of wrongdoing to justify their hatred of tyrone. Haters are gonna hate.

Btw i was in the duffy terrace when the minors crossed behind the goals and most people where focused on the senior game bar the very odd derry supporter and i didn't hear any abuse or sledging

Time for a battery change in your hearing aid.

I was sitting in pat mcgrane on far 45 and it was clear as day. I hate the chant at the best of times but the fact it was aimed at 17/18 year olds who just won an Ulster title made it all the worse.

Tyrone fans chanting 'Theres no ******derry in Tyrone' to the young Derry minors when they were walking to their seats in first half of senior game. Was really bad taste IMO. And they wonder why other counties don't like them ::)

I think Armagh have every chance in this.

A lot has been said about Kildare so far but they have proven very little, Armagh have a talented bunch of players coming through now and as maligned as McGeeney has been he is clearly a manager who players are very loyal and committed to. Armagh remind a little bit of 2014. I think they have got real quality in that forward line, McParland was very sharp at the weekend, Murnin is a serious ball winner and reminds me a little bit of Enda Muldoon. Clarke and Grugan are two very classy players and if you add in the likes of Campbell, O'Neill, Rafferty etc off the bench then you can have good options there.

I'd worry a little for them defensively but I think they're heading in the right direction.

Is there any hope Dyas will play some football this year?

Please don't compare Murnin to Enda Muldoon again.

Murnin reminds me of Enda Muldoon.

Enda this conversation.

Love to see Harrington go well this week. His new crazy swing seems to be working.

With the rough they have - I'd be counting Speith out - he's been wayward off the tee lately
Paper today says it's a very forgiving golf course, not at all like the usual US Open courses. So big hitters very much favoured and don't necessarily have to be always straight.

Look up the video of Kevin Na playing out of rough!!

Tried this recently with Ulster Bank, was told that because we (me and oh) had land in our name, (which was purchased for the purpose of building our new first house) we could not benefit from this.  We were due to get £1000 each off this but it didn't pan out ffs, the rules for self builds were not clear at all.  Solicitor later told us it could have been used to purchase the land.

I've been told something similar, a lot of conflicting information online regarding self builds. My da owns the land so there may be a way in which we could work it to get the bonus? Think I'll get speaking to a solicitor who knows the ins and outs.

I really fancy DJ this week. A real monster of a course with 4 par 5s. 8/1 about looks a fair price for the best player in the world atm.

And the 18th can play 680 yards at longest  :o

That is crazy long. I think the USGA could come in for a lot of stick again this week with the course layout, you'd think they'd learn after the farces in recent years.

As much as I admire Connolly as a footballer, he's definitely overstepped the line this time. I would love to see GAA match officials get the same respect rugby refs do. Connolly is a role model for young kids throughout the country he 100% needs to be banned.
