Like the hurling it might take a Laois man to solve a Laois problem. Who we get in Laois I'm not so sure. We never evolved with the times after we won many leinsters and paying the price perhaps. I feel we'll be playing catch up for a good while to get even to an AI q final spots again (hope i'm wrong of course).
Can't blame Portlaoise either with all the county titles they've won. Up to the other clubs to step up and haven't done so.

It wouldn't happen in any of the so-called bigger counties that's for sure!

Don't think Peacock would last 70 minutes might be a good impact sub again. Not enough running at defenders with our forwards. Willie Hyland good option on the full forward line also. The curtain raiser will be good game Vincent's vs Tullaroan Diarmuid Connelly vs Tommy Walsh!  8)

I we hurl for 70 minutes man to man I say we'll be close. Here's hoping!

Any high profile players gone to America or J1s from Laois?

Tom Delaney surely to get a look into the team. Great in the air, very physical player who would be able for Offaly's physical battle.  Probably too risky to take Cahir out of full back position this stage in the year since he's been there all season. Need to try Neil Foyle on full forward line if he's not injured or put Zane in full forward and Jimmy Walsh middle of the field.
Puckouts have to be better too much messy ball in senior/u21 championship along with the handpassing.
We need about 2 goals at least and to concede very small amount of frees. Nobody gave us chances against Galway the last 2 years Sunday no different considering the circumstances.

Any word on Ross King's injury? no point moaning any longer re: Cheddar's departure. It's a massive pity how it all worked out but there's a game to be won Sunday. Who will be put centre back in place of Matthew?

Absolutely rode one of worst reffing performances ever seen in O Moore Park. Only for Cha and a hell of a lot of missed frees by Carlow it would have been more. Carlow a lot hungrier than our lads. The line too slow to make changes at ht and in 2nd half. A poor performance simply not good enough!

Did I hear right that there were no trials for the minor football this year and merely just picked lads? Hope I'm wrong would be mad to think Lillis picked lads considering he'd been managing senior clubs the past few years and possibly away from younger age group. Still a good wealth of experience he has nonetheless.
I've been away from Laois for last while so inside knowledge not as much as i'd like :D

Hard luck lads will have learnt a lot about themselves today. Hopefully it'll stand to them in the long run. Look how the kilkenny minors turned it around last year. Meath next I think should bounce back comfortably.
Hopefully they'll be let back to the clubs to refocus and get plenty of gametime for the lads on the sideline.

The Heath beat Arles Kilcruise by a point. Heath almost blew 5 point lead 5 mins to go. Nonetheless the better side won.

I find it hard to see how lads leaving clubs within a small county like Laois to join another club can be justified.

My own club had a hurler who joined from a nearby club a few years back and tbh it was a disgrace it ever happened and my friends from that other club on a sporting level will never forgive him for leaving for Portlaoise.

That man in question is back with his previous club. Welcomed back hopefully it'll all work out! New to this forum so apologies with the typo!
