Messages - Louth Exile

Great to see so many votes for the likes of Louth, Monaghan & Cavan

Given the way the draws are in thee out of the four provinces it is possible that we could have teams in the provincial finals that wouldn't normally be there, so I'll go for....
Leinster - Louth (well I had to, no shock if Laois make the final)
Ulster - Monaghan (here's hoping, mind you they will do well to beat Derry if they get that far)
Connacht - Roscommon (were worse than useless last year, big improvements, I think they are nailed on for a final place)

And again the big surprise will be Mayo winning Sam

It would be a good question to put to the likes of Oisin Mc Conville, what is it 4 club AI and 13 county championships in a row. But despite how consistently good the county have been still only one AI for Armagh!

Just sat down to watch the punchsetown preview on rte and are they talking about horses? No...
They are dressing Brian Gleeson like a barbie doll.... What has the world come too!

Roscommon must have improved since last year. Was at their game against Meath in Navan and they were one of the worst county teams I had seen in a long time. all they did was aimlessly run with the  ball. Maughan will have done some turn around with them if they can come back and beat Meath in the final.

I don't know of any club that looks for big membership and it is small amount to help support your club. I know some Meath clubs who do a great job on it, they hold membership nights and you can get affinty deals from businesses in town if you are paid up member, they have big membership numbers

I'd say that actual paid up members of clubs is way below the number of people actively involved, playing and supporting clubs. I know in my own club the membership is only €20 and yet we would get very few actually paid up members because it is left to one guy to collect it. There would easily be double the number of people actively involved in the club as are paid up. The brother is a senior player and he hasn't even been asked for membership once in the last three years!!

That programme was never any good - When Louth played the Div 2 Final last year against Donegal they didn't even mention it!! When we complained to RTE they pointed us in TG4 direction who were ultimately to blame as they had the rights but decided not to show it!!  Amazing how RTE currently do a better job on their Rugy & Soccer programmes than they do on their GAA

Louth are being written off here, we have been very consistent. Two good home wins against Down & Westmeath and of the three away games, drew with Laois in Portlaoise, lost by one point in Newbridge and lost by one point in Cross. We have the best scoring average of any team in the division. With a combination of luck / being able to close out games we would be top of the table!!

I genuinely believe we will beat Galway in Dundalk on Sunday, might be proven wrong, but if other results go as I expect we will be in third next Sunday evening and safe from Div 3. We don't want to be going to Derry on last day relying on points to avoid Div 3 and I don't think we will.

I think it is Down & Armagh going down with Kildare and Galway finishing top.
