I'm thinking of heading  to Ruislip for the Cavan v London match on the 20th. Never been before and haven't a notion about London or Ruislip. Any advice on good spots to stay the night after??
Recommend Camden, great spot for bars. Northern line southbound to Euston, change for Victoria line southbound and get off at Oxford circus......then hop on Central Line westbound to South Rusilp...take about 50 mins in total. Rusilip is a mile out and a kip. Avoid Leicester square at all costs....Temple bar crossed with The Only Way is Essex....

Camden has a rake of class bars...lock 17 by the canal/market is decent. The Oxford Arms is a good solid Mayo pub if you are looking for any Irish Sport/Sunday game that night.

No mention of the Swan Stockwell as a high quality establishment?  :o Championship days out in Ruislip are always a good excuse for a day on the beer for us exiles, looking forward to it.

This sadly, is a great trust and i've considered the concept over the last couple of years. In Poznan airport about to fly home I learnt of the passing of James Nolan, then Kevin when I was in New York over the summer. This was compounded, when a friend from Wicklow who I lived with, tragically drowned 2 days before flying home from his J1. The ensuing search and repatriation costs for his family would have been significant. These are all young men, a few years other either side of myself, who tragically lost there lives when having the time of their lives. Touching down in Dublin airport each time was never as poignant.

Our(St Mary's University, Strawberry Hill) new away jersey. Can't see it selling as many as the home jersey which also had the Buckfast sponsor but hopefully we'll get a few pound from it.

Ulster Colleges Allstars 2012 Midfield Mel Boyce
School : St Macartan's Monaghan
Club : Tyholland
Mel was the St Macartan's MacRory Cup captain this season, and captained Tyholland to the under 16 club championship. He is a regular on his club's senior team. Mel has represented Monaghan minors for 3 seasons and captained them at under 16 level.
Mel has represented his province in under-age rugby in 2009.

Having seen his picture in the Irish News last week in a Cross jersey i'm guessing this would be the lad in question!?

The Brian Cody parody account is good

I've been following it now a week or so, good auld craic.

It's very witty, during Wimbledon he came out with this:

Eddie Brennan is the worst tennis player I've ever seen, always smashes it into the net, can't help himself #instinct #killercat #domination

Mr Power has gone to 7/2.

Where all is 4/1 still to be had?

Ladbrokes are 4/1.

Down HT/FT 9/1. I might put a few quid on, i'd be confident enough of us winning but to do so I would imagine we'll need a decent start.

Heading out from 6-20th, core group of 4 of us who have ticket for the Croatia and Italy games(tickets through the portal) but meeting other fellas out there too. We're going to Warsaw for 2 nights for the Opening Ceremony then we're currently in discussions about taking rooms in a house in Pozan for 10 days. We hope though to go up to Gdansk for 3 nights or so for the Spain match. Can't wait!

The jersey will be available on the O' Neills website over the next week or so, with a proportion of money from the sales going towards credit for O' Neills gear for us. I'll let you know when its up.

I sorted this jersey out, I knew it'd get alot of publicity but hadn't expected as much. Inundated with requests looking us to order more!

We're St Marys University Strawberry Hill, London

How do we go about getting our hands on one?

I'll know more at the start of next week and let you know.

Anyone here going to the finals?

Few of us booked Luton to Rzeszow in SE Poland a few weeks back 6th-17th for £120 return. Getting the 6days travel in a month Interrail ticket for 80euro and doing something like Warsaw 7th-8th(Opening ceremony/Poland v Greece), Poznan 9th-10th(Ireland v Croatia), Gdansk 11th-14th(Ireland v Spain), Warsaw 15th-16th(Greece v Russia) then down to Rzeszow and home on the 17th. Maybe get the odd night in a hostel but mainly camping/passing out. Cant't wait!

QuoteYou wouldn't have had scenes with the Brogans and Alan's we lad if there were 40-50,000 Dubs on the field.

Ah c'mon lad, As a Gael did you grow up dreaming of one day walking up the steps of the Hogan Stand and lifting Sam in front of thousands of your fans on the pitch.... or winning Sam and putting your child in the cup on the 21!? I know what I dreamt of!

For those at any football and hurling championship matches this weekend if they could throw up a brief match report for those in exile it'd be greatly appreciated.
