Jaysus help me but I'm really looking forward to this game tomorrow.  If I was on the Cavan Panel, that Leighton Glynn article would be on the dressing room door...

Really hope we can bounce back, we will struggle at mid field without Givney but their mid field won't be as strong as last year with Thomas Walshe going home...

Surely Mackey can't play as poorly again and will get a return to the form he has shown of late.  As usual if Nesty gets enough time and space to pick his passes to Jelly and Mackey inside without allowing Wicklow to swarm all over them - then we will be there or thereabouts...

Don't be so sure of that. Will be touch and go to start.

I think we can win this one though. Home advantage is huge in the Qualifiers.

I dont think there is one county in the country that fears coming to Breffni Park anymore. We're seen as a soft touch and the atmosphere and the performance the last day backed that up. We lost to our neighbours in our own patch and didnt look all that bothered by it. I have completely given up on TC and as much as I hope we win I just dont think enough genuine hunger will be instilled amongst our lads to get a run in the qualifiers.

PS: I still think Wicklow are one of the most over-rated teams in the country so it is there for us
Whys that put it up?

Fair enough on the figures DElboy, but lets get back to the main points in this spill.

Firstly, the Halliburton connection and the sale of BP shares by certain individuals and companies is worrying.
Did they have prior warnings, or was it shrewd investing policies?

Secondly, the US Govt need to take a larger role in this, and not let private companies control the clean up.

Thirdly, wether it is media hype or whatever, the serious consequences for the environmental disasters about to happen are very real. The oil spill is coming our way, no doubt about that.

There is no doubting that the ones you have mentioned above are just as serious, and you are right, the Bhopal disaster is horrible, and the loss of human life incredible. Shell's record in Nigeria isn't to clean either.

Personally for me, this disaster unfolding before us right now in the Gulf is going to have far reaching consequences for not only those living in that region, but futher afield. Not to mention the marine life that will suffer greatly. Roughly 80% of the dolphins in the world use the Gulf as their habitat, and they are already washing up dead on Florida's beaches.

So, what is the best case senerio, or worst case? I don't know, and I dont think the experts really know either. Either way, it is still bad whatever way we look at it, and only time will show us the results.

They are just gay sharks anyway, who gives a fcuk.

Great contribution to the debate  ::)
Ah go way out of that it was funny.

Ah but Leighton Glynn would like to believe that we are  ;D Ever since he got picked for Ireland, talking to him has not been the same....told me before the Westmeath game he was hoping for a Leinster this year because the draw was so handy.

I think the ghost of Ireland is definitely haunting at this stage...Italy and France? We don't really like England either and look how they're doing  ;D

Having a constant, ferocious stitch which makes walking a trek and running out of the question.

Well at least you'll have a few more stragglers to share the disbelief as Cavan get knocked out again. But sure, isn't the sun gorgeous!  ;D

Wicklow are like South Africa, nobody really knows who we are or who plays for us, but the manager is some man and we make a fair fist of it when we're at home.

What in the name of jaysus just happened down in New Zealand? Thats not on, conceding near on 70 points should be left to the group stages of the World Cup to teams like Romania and Portugal. I know we were missing a whole other team of players but 38 points???

Playing with only 14 men for 50 minutes of the game and then down to 13 for another ten would be hard against any team but against the best team in the world... that explains your 38 points

Second half performance seemed to be very commendable according to the Kiwi commendators (I caught the last 15 minutes of the game)
At the time i had only caught the score now. Seeing that score now would caome as a bit of a shock in all fairness.

Finally got round to watching all the Die Hards this past few days, long time waiting. Anyone any opinions? I think the first one would be the worst. Thought the second in particular was great. Fourth also a lot better than I thought it would be.

Ban him mod!!!

The first Die Hard is arguably one of the best action films of all time IMHO. Ironically, I didn't like the 2nd one at all.

While it is subjective as to whether you think a film or not that is one of the most ridiculous comments I've read in a long time! The 1st Die Hard is by a mile the best and one of the best action films of all time as was mentioned. Terrible taste.
It was a joke. Chillax.

This should be renamed the Anyone But England thread  ;)

Do the Irish Times know something we don't?

Jesus that background noise with them horns constantly going really grinds my gears.
They're a nuisance but Blatter refuses to do anything about it. It must be some rackey trying to play with that surrounding you as well.
