Both McAliskey & McCurry were clinical today for Tyrone, 11 points between them. Superb front two performance.

How any pundit can call Monaghan a team as big 4 material when they haven't been in a semi final since 1988 is a testament to their belief in the hype around a poor Monaghan team. Result was never a doubt. Tyrone roll on with a sensational performance.

Monaghan have yet to prove they are a Croke Park team to date. Their biggest championship wins were in their own back yard. I doubt they would have won their 2 recent Ulster finals if they were in Ballybofey or Croker.

Donegal team:

Durcan
McGrath
McGee
McGee
McHugh
Lacey
McGlynn
Gallagher
McElhinney
O'Reilly
MacNiallais
Toye
McBrearty
Murphy
H. McFadden

Oreilly, the Kilcar man? Big game for him. Is it Mark McHugh in the back unit?

Question for the Tyrone men. When the golden generation  won the u21s at the start of the 00s, how many had senior championship football under their belts ?

In 2001 Ulster final Tyrone beat Cavan with 6 u-21s from that year's all Ireland winning team playing a part in key positions too. Kevin Hughes & mcAnallen were midfield, with mcGee in defence, and up front SON at CHF , & Mulligan. mcGuigan came on as sub. No U21's make this year's team so far.

Hard to know which is the worst factor of three, the conditions, mthe standard of football or the setanta camera work.

Or the GAAGo streaming quality!

GAA Discussion / Re: GAAGO where are you?

GAAGO has the worst streaming of any video site I use. Frustrating is an understatement, when you try to get into the momentum of a match. Stream interrupts nearly every minute. This happens on no other site I use for video.
Anyone  have similar experience?

great memories. I was behind the goals for all 3 games.

Were any of the current Tyrone panelists around in 2003 when they last won the league?

Pascal McConnell, Conor Gormley, Sean Cavanagh, SON, Dermot Carlin

The root of all the Kerry v  Tyrone animosity is the feeling within Tyrone that they have never gotten the credit they feel they deserve. For example, It galls them to see the media still talking about the legends like Tomas, gooch , Galvin, Declan O'Sullivan etc while they are , largely, ignored. The puzzling thing is  why they feel the need to blame Kerry for this. Its not  our fault that guys like Dooher, Philip Gormley, Eoin Jordan etc are forgotten about.

The single reason for the animosity is Tyrone have won all the most important games between the teams in the last decade. It is Kerry induced. There is no animosity in Tyrone against Kerry.

very bad news it seems for Setanta O'hAilpin

Carlton produced a solid but uninspiring performance to beat a stubborn Greater Western Sydney side by 67
Setanta O'hAilpin had enjoyed playing against his old side, kicking two goals for GWS, but O'hAilpin finished the game on crutches after injuring his knee in the third quarter. The AFL reported O'hAilpin's season could be over, amid fears the Irishman had torn his anterior cruciate ligament.

This quote from an Australian professor in cultural studies in the Age indicates Collingwood historically were the irish catholic team in AFL. Plus currently having 3 irishmen in their panel would also attract Irish support

Before multiculturalism, religious rivalries played a part in Australian sport, mainly pitting Protestants against Catholics.
"Most Collingwood fans were Catholic and Irish, and pretty much working class, so they've had a history of exclusion," Professor Stratton said.
He believed the "residue" of that religious rivalry has contributed to the general dislike for the Pies today.
