How do Dublin GAA fend off interest from the AFL?
With the conveyor belt of talent coming through from Dublin, how do they fend off interest from professional AFL outfits? Rural counties have had up and coming stars head down under.

Blue Wave - Dublin GAA sought provincial status in 2011
In 2011 Dublin County Board sought "provincial status" for both funding and administration purposes as part of their new six-year strategic plan, the full details of which were announced in Croke Park in late 2011.

In a broad and somewhat bold plan – entitled Unleashing "The Blue Wave": A Strategy for Dublin GAA 2011-2017 – the central theme is Dublin's ever-changing demographics, which is actually described as a "time bomb", and thus presents several unique challenges to the county board.

I believe the Players wanted new man in charge. Rochford for manager though might be a step down for him?

Jack O Connor would be a great move for Mayo! Top manager! Suprised he not in the running for the Kerry job!

Would be a huge addition to mayo football but hopefully he will take Kerry role. Might be too soon for Peter Keane.

Horan always seems to get a free ride from many Mayo fans, he made several big mistakes too mainly the lack of dealing with Donaghy which cost Mayo an All Ireland in 2014. He might have won 4 Connacht titles in a row but he was up against one of the most ill prepared and rudderless Galways teams in a long time whilst Roscommon weren't much better yet still managed to run Mayo close twice during that time and think Sligo weren't too far away in the Connacht Final in either 11 or 12. I'm not knocking him, he's clearly a good manager but he missed huge opportunities when the Dubs were their for the taking in 13 and in 14 when Mayo were a better side than Kerry and had the game won the first day.

I can see from the Mayo posters on here some think there's another year left in them whilst others think that ship has sailed. Given all the soundbites from the county board about money problems about then Horan's comments in the paper today I can't imagine appointing Horan is going to be a smooth process, could go on for ages as I'm sure the coaches he'll want with him won't come cheaply.

If Horan doesn't want it this time round there's always next time and given the age profile of the panel and a few other issues with the County Board you can't blame him if he decides to wait.

What happened with Richard Feeney in 2013 final? Big mistake not bringing him in that day.

John Delaney and his newly appointed honorary President for life Denis O Brien will ensure that Irish football is safe well into the future.

He's a charlatan and a shyster. An embarrassment to Irish football. An inanimate carbon rod would do a better job. Unaccountable and unacceptable p***k of the highest order.

What's this now?

Should have put on FAI thread  ;D ;D Denis O'Brien appointed honorary president. Delaney is untouchable in FAI

Look Jordon will get his ban, a deserving one but this gawd bless us and save us brigade that surrounds GAA need to go away. Several Mayo people said he should never play again for Mayo , my response was to get a grip , if he his any addition to Mayo he should be added.

Did the kildare player who spat at him get banned?
