I am currently a primary school teacher working in the north, living in a border region with a few county Monaghan towns within a shorter or similar distance to my current commute. With the glaring difference in pay it would be foolish of me to not explore the avenue of transferring to teach in the south. I am aware of the process of registering with the teaching council, aware also of the Irish language requirement, in school observations, oral and written exam and a course in the Gaeltacht. My Irish doesn't currently stretch passed a Cupla Focal & GCSE Irish many moons ago.
Is this my only option for getting employment with the teaching council to register as a primary teacher and complete the Irish language requirement. Or would it be possible to register as a secondary teacher, completing some kind of top up credits or even registering as a SEN teacher and gaining a relevant qualification.
If anyone has any advice or has done similar before I would really appreciate it. Cheers.

They loved it and obviously didn't get the references to the original series.
It's a bit of fun, solid 6/10 with some nostalgia thrown in for good measure.
I loved Tremors
I thought it was a pile of balls
Tremors or The Fall Guy?
Fall Guy isn't brilliant, but I liked the nostalgia element. My lads really enjoyed it, aged 11 and 16,

At least it curtails the "them foreigners coming over here and taking all our jobs" rhetoric/excuse.
they can have our jobs, it is the houses they take that are the problem
Have 'they' taken your job or your house or a house from anyone you know ? Genuine question
It is simple logic that if you allow in more immigrants than you build houses then you somebody is going to have problems getting a house. I'm quite comfortable and am not one of those people. In general, this debate seems to be unable to distinguish between the aggregate effect and situations of individuals.
So you're worried for others (us Irish with the great bloodline that will hopefully never get diluted by the bad foreigner's bloodline).. Helping out other folk who need our help isn't the issue, they are not your enemy. Why not worry and look out for those less fortunate than us?
The real enemy here looks very like you and me, not the unfortunate on the boats, not trans etc...
