Quote from: Snapchap on Today at 02:56:15 PMTaliteann Cup clash of Waterford V Longford had an attendance figure of 75. That's not a typo.

Know a father of one of the players on the Waterford panel. He was at it yesterday.
Last time I was talking to him he did say the Tailteann cup has improved things in terms of players being willing to commit to football and the regular games. However in Waterford their footballers are fighing a battle in terms of the Waterford County Board. A lot of them wish they could do a Kilkenny and not compete in football at all.

Count me in as another who thinks a three-tier championship would make much more sense but I fear that the GAA politics of getting it passed would be close to almost impossible any time soon.

And how would three-tier championship help matters, will it be less or fight for Waterford footballers?  Both Longford and Waterford still had outside chance of reaching the knock out stages and when only 75 people are turning up to watch it I can't imagine any lower tier competition than the Tailteann cup will draw much of an interest.

What sort training and preparation has New York done since they got that hammering off Mayo in April?

Quote from: statto on June 02, 2024, 05:37:42 PMWill Geezer get any credit for the win?

Know the score,  he gets no credit for any win and blamed for any defeat.

That was surprisingly easy win for Armagh, Galway next should be a much tougher challenge and reward for the winner is straight into the Quarter final.

Goals winning this game so far for Armagh. Big 2nd half ahead and Derry have the advantage having not played last weekend.

Quote from: J70 on June 01, 2024, 09:45:54 PMIt's getting as boring as City and the PL.

And wait till Mbappe arrives.

With Mbappe on one wing and Vinicius on the other and Bellingham down the middle they will be impossible to contain. Only City will be able to stop them.

If they keep stopping Manchester City from winning any more Champions League titles then good.

Quote from: Brendan on May 31, 2024, 10:53:27 AM2 points for a score outside a new Arc being proposed, won't somebody please think of the groundsmen!
Brian Sheehan reckons we haven't got 15 players across the country that can score from distance on a consistent basics.

Galway ahead of Donegal?

Only because they were division 1.

Wouldn't be much in it.
think 2 to 8 could all beat each other.

8th are Tyrone, unlikely on this years form.
They could and probably should have beaten Donegal the first day though

Could even bring Donegal to penalty shootout like Armagh did and Tyrone learnt little going by Donegal beating them by a bit to spare last weekend.

Galway,Kildare,Donegal,Tyrone some decent teams in the tier two section and all should take it serious and aim to win it.

Some piece of work. No question he's the worst president in the history of United states of America.

Yet, with the current state of the world, he's a good bet to double down on that. We could be in for a dark next five years.

Yet all the war started after he left office??

Not sure where you've been but the US have been involved directly or indirectly in hundreds of wars for many decades

Living under a rock he's been?  and within the first two years of Trumps administration, Trump launched far more drone and lethal strikes than Obama in his full term.

Whereas Obama merely destabilised the whole middle east and North Africa.

This clueless or just an act?
