Aidan O'Mahony seems to have patched up his rocky relationship with Kerry boss Jack O'Connor. O'Mahony, who quit the panel only last month, has returned to training in a bid to seek a place in the Kerry XV for the opening Munster Championship tie against John Evans' Tipperary side. O'Mahony's stock has fallen over the last couple of years and he was only a substitute as Kerry claimed back Sam in 2009. He fell out with Jack O'Connor over a sending-off in the early stages of the league campaign this year and many believed that this led to his departure from the camp.

Kerry have been rocked by a number of high-profile departures from their panel of last year with star names such as Dara O'Se, Tadgh Kennelly & Tommy Walsh no longer involved. O'Connor can ill-afford to lose an established member of the squad such as O'Mahony and will be pleased to have the Rathmore man back in harness.
