Laois / Re: 2015 Laois Senior Hurling

Congratulations to Laois on their win yesterday. I thought we'd regroup after halftime, but you were relentless. Sounded like an array of fabulous scores flew over the bar.

Good luck against Galway in the next round. They may be good, but so are you.

Can't tell you when it was installed, but I know Gaelic Park has had astroturf for quite a few years. My guess is at least 8 years.

Would Offaly have got out of the round robin series? I doubt it

Perhaps not. We will not know now.

Don't be surprised if there is a decent battle on Saturday night.

Takes a big man to congratulate his own county when they win, fair play to him.

Priceless.

Thank you Sir!

No, but it hardly means that should dampen their enthusiasm or development.

Good luck to them.

We seem to have a mental block of some kind. We can play hard, entertaining games that make for high drama, but we always seem to undo ourselves with small lapses that prove costly. We are almost always charging up from the rear against time. When we prove we can jump out, get a lead and build on it we will start winning. Until then we seem to be amounting to a team that can test others, but just don't have enough of an edge to put them down. Hopefully the new regime will figure out how to get over this hump. On the question of players...I think we may have a limited pick in terms of numbers, but we have some excellent players. If we had a full panel to pick from (let's forget about that for a moment). Looking at this year and last year I would say we were as good as Cork and Galway at a minimum. To not have beaten either of them is disappointing. To your point AZ, agree we need to beat somebody as we seem to have forgotten how.

Can I also announce my retirement? Joe Dooley won't return my calls.

Not a chance AZ. my preference is that you sit on the fence on a yearly basis at about this time of year and keep us all in suspense. Give it the famous one more year anyway!

Is the re-registering of this car being done to:

1. Get yourself to hurling training?
2. Get a load of kids to hurling training?
3. Or to ferry the family to hurling matches?

Thinking O should post a martial arts exhibition up here!

Don't know if Dinny was in charge at the time, but Antrim played at Gaelic Park in the 'Ulster Champioship'.

I was impressed by how they conducted themselves. Unfortunately by then New York did not have the volume and quality of players to pick a team that could compete.

They were fit and ready that day.

Hopefully Dinny can do the same this time around. Would be nice to see them get a breakout win or 2 in the near future.

That was under Jingos watch, two of my clubmates were kicked off the panel and made their own way home on that trip. "Tired and emotional" was the official line i believe :P

Own way home. Good God!

Only saw them coming into the game, during and short time after. Too bad thngs were such a mess. Hpoe they have a good 2010.

I'm watching it in silence now. Canning has me driven mad.

Put on the radio Mcheal won't let you down...

I know I will get shot down for saying this, but MO'M is an acquired taste too. I tried listening on the radio as I am overseas and had to turn it off after five minutes and am just getting score updates on line now. I've met him and he is a lovely man, a true gentleman, but I can't stand listening to him myself, it's like listening to Terry Wogan doing commentary, there are so many requests in the middle of it. I know it is supposed to be part of his charm, but his charm doesn't work with me.

No guns out of the closet here. I would know of what you speak. Need to go into the other end of the house as the rest of the tribe can't bear it.
