Told theres a pub on the Donegal road that would fit the description, apparently its done up especially to look more 'irish' than the rest of them..that make any sense??

Er, think someone may be taking the mickey.

Slightly poor description maybe but I think what I'm trying to say from the look of the place is that its obvious that the place would show gaa. How I don't know, hence my asking. Something thats perfectly reasonable to assume given that some bars in the city wouldn't for obvious reasons.

Cheers folks for the info. Staying in the City Centre btw.
Don't really have any interest in watching the soccer ( sick of the WC to be honest ) , would prefer to go to gaa pub if at all possible!

Failing that I'll head down the Ormeau road to the Parador or the Hatfield.

Hi Lads ,

Looks like I'm going to be stuck in Belfast for the Dublin Meath match. With Engerland and Germany on at the same time , finding a pub to watch the game is going to be a bit trickier than normal. Can anyone recommend a place where the game will definitely be on ??
I once heard mentioned a club in Andersonstown that will show matches but thats about as much as I know!
Thanks in advance..

There would be a lot of interest for that, that I am sure of. Especially from ones living aboard who mightn't get a chance to see the game live.

However as David said, you could be opening a whole can of worms for yourself. I'm not going to tell you what to do, for you probably wouldn't listen to me anyway, but I will say is thread carefully.

Thanks Ziggy..

Legally , it definitely is a minefield and we are investigating whether it is a possible runner on that score.
From what our counsell advises us though it could be possible.

I missed the Dublin v Kerry game recently and found it very hard to get a torrent for the match.  Also had problems when in Texas.  I would advise you to be careful though as Setanta probably wouldnt take too kindly to you cutting into their revenue stream

Hi David,

Thanks for your input..

That certainly could be an issue alright, but I have it on good advice that there may be ways around the legalities of any such site.
But before any work is done we need to find out if there is any real interest.

Like i said before any advice or opnions of any shade would be most welcome.

Hi all,

I am currently thinking about developing a torrent site specifically dedicated to Irish sports and just wanted to gauge any potential interest.
Currently , as far as Im aware the only place where the like can be got is on sites like aussietorrents.com and occasionally demonoid.com.
Before I do any work on any such site I need to see what the interest is like, so please provide feedback, advice and other opinions , even if negative!!
Admin , feel free to move this thread if in the wrong section.
