Put your money on Dublin to win it again.  Can't beat having home venue for semi and final.
its no wonder Mayo win nothing with the home venue defeatist attitude. Both semi finals last year Mayo had as many supporters as Dublin rendering croker a neutral venue. A tired argument coming from a supporter clutching at straws. At this stage Mayo know croker well enough, they don't win coz they ain't good enough! Dublin simply the best team in the land, hammered Mayo last year in Mc Hale park! Good forwards put the ball over the bar, Aidan O Se Mayos best is a great player against the Sligos and Roscommons of this world but when it comes to crunch on big days he's crap,  where Mayo to play Dublin 20 times on a good inter county pitch anywhere in the country Dublin would win 18 times. Better players better tactics better attitude better team.
Better grammar.
good grammar must be worth at least 2 or 3 points per game 😉,
The way for Mayo to win is eight defenders, parsons and oSe junior in mf, oSe senior at ff flanked by 2 pacey players with one roving cf,

How is that Ger Canning Language? Ger Canning would call characters by their nickname, bore you with pretend analysis and say that the First Order are sending a few 'huge ones' into the Republic penalty area.
variation on a theme being one of his fav quotes

In simple ger canning language the next 2 movies will continue along the road of rehashing the originals with a variation on a theme

Mayo fans really deserve an AI, I hope to God they win it.

They'll only deserve it if they win it.

Bullshit Sy. We face odds others don t.

How in God's name did the officials send off Keane when Murphy was the aggressor. It ll be rescinded but not the point. Yon ref would have rode us if it was anyway tight. Unless Keane hit Murphy off camera with a sledge that decision was a joke.

Now this will be the fifth AI semi v Dublin that I can recall. All the previous were played as home games for Dublin. In fairness this needs to be played in Mayo or neutral like Limerick!!
A big hullaboloo was made about giving Sligo fair play a few weeks ago so what's sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander.
CP is too much a + for Dublin. Add in a homer ref and we d have to be 10+ a better team to have a chance.

Ref handed you 2012 and you let James Horan & his team of analysts off scott free in 2013 for not realising Dublin had two incapicatated players on the field for the last ten minutes.

We we 10/11 up at one stage in 2012 and should have won pulling up. As for 2013 so what. What happened. Are you trying to justify us having to play another semi in Dublin and all the disadvantages that gives us?
the free count was 3:1 in mayos favour in 13 go figure

Hound except for flynn all these guys were whipping boys for the Tyrone,  kerry mayos and armaghs.  The new boys made the difference.
Dublin aren't the only county with a good youth developement and centres of excellence etc! Some of these so called weaker counties need to look at themselves too and apportion the all the blame for their failures on Dublin. Meath and Kildare for example, big GAA counties yet haven't a shilling, poor management at board level, and not Tyrone Dublin Kerry or corks fault

In 10 years time if theres a more talented group of footballers in Fermanagh than in Dublin - I would want that teams talent to be fit to achieve more than Dublin.  We are not modelled on the premier league with the haves and the have nots. Our goal should be that every kid in Ireland that wants to play GAA has the opportunity to do so at a relatively similar level.  That could take a little time to get to.

when you say every kid in Ireland do you include Dublin kids ?

The two posters above, JOG2 and Leo "don't matter" Turley, embarrassing and ignorant comments. Time to wake up, improve your counties by whatever means possible rather than trying diminish another counties progress and brilliant volunteers at ground level. Dublin underage structures should be followed.

This argument has come up before here thousands of times so nothing will change jealous peoples minds of Dublin. Its like you want an apology that enough people are not born in your county so you can compete.

Again, playing population for the Dublin seniors to pick from is probably divisions 1-3. Please also note that Dublin has the largest per population amateur soccer leagues in Europe.

I worked at ground level in Dublin, if anybody needs assistance with a plan for you county underage structures and development please mail me.

Paid coaches by the bucketful. It's easy to develop players when you have 1.5 million to spend every year. Financial doping is nothing to be proud of.
what's the solution?

Pot, Kettle. With the population and resources Dublin have they haven't exactly been the dominant force have they. Maybe lacking a little application themselves.
I've asked this loads of times and not one of yiz can answer, comparitavly how big is the Dublin GAA family when held against other counties?

If it's a similar % as other counties it will be many times the 2nd largest.
not necessarily, the GAA family in Dublin is small comparative to the overall population, counties like Kerry are steeped in GAA,

Like most things on here ye are all just going around in circles as the Dubs are NEVER willing to admit any wring doing or bias.
If they are never gonna admit that them playing home games in Croke park is a HUGE advantage and blame the Leinster council or other counties then ye are wasting yer time.
Several times I've listed incidents the Dubs have done that have been swept under the carpet and I asked people can you not see the Double standards here.
RTE have a huge impact on this and people's perceptions but Sky and Newstalk now are to some degree challenging that.
Most Dublin posters reaction to my questions are
"f**k Off with your anti Dub attack and poor wee Tyrone getting picked on"

Really answers my questions very well doesn't it.
do you dislike the dubs?

Two tier championship with a championship nknockout round to decide by seeded draw which team gets into the to tier
So 16 games with the sixteen winners divided into 4 groups of 4
And the losing teams likewise for the second tier
This would give all counties a chance of the all Ireland and it might throw up a few surprises on the knockout weekend (the first weekend of championship)

Top 2 from each group qualify giving us a final 8 which could be played as a knockout or 2 more groups of 4 with the winners of each group playing the final

7 games to win the all Ireland or 8 with a third grouping or 10/11 games if the first round of groups where played over a home and away basis

Teams only retain their top seed rating for their knockout game for the following year providing the progress into the top group

obviously scoring in boxing is subjective, I had floyd by 6, however the guardian's fight guy Kevin Mitchell thought manny by a point

http://www.theguardian.com/sport/2015/may/03/floyd-mayweather-beats-manny-pacquiao-on-points-to-remain-unbeaten

anyone else think Manny had it?
whoever wrote that article either didn't see the fight or knows nothing about boxing. Mayweather won at least 8 rounds by a pretty wide margin.

sitting in the airport here about to set sail for Vegas. Always said if the fight was made I would make the trip out no matter what but i wasn't far off giving it a miss at one stage. Getting to the actual fight was always going to be a pipe dream with 1,000 tickets going on public sale. But when I thought at one stage I wouldn't get to see the fight at all out there i came close to not going.

The MGM have barred any other hotel from broadcasting the fight, there are 7 MGM hotels in Vegas (MGM & Mandalay amongst others) so between them they had 50,000 closed circuit (effectively glorified cinema) tickets on sale. Only MGM guests could get tickets to the MGM closed circuit and they could only be purchased through a phone call to their box office. So after being on hold for over two hours after the closed circuit tickets went on sale I had a bit of luck (well I don't know if you can count a call that cost £150 as lucky) and got through and got tickets. These cinema tickets with free booze and grub set me back £220 a turn. I thankfully have weigh in tickets sorted as well.

While I will be living on beans and toast when I return to sunny Belfast for at least 6 months, I can't wait to be out there.

While I would love to see Pacquiao win it, I think the only outcome can be a fairly comfortable decision for Mayweather who will go on and win his 49th fight to complete his showtime contract and then fake a retirement. The money he would earn for a 50th fight that would give him the potential to eclipse Marciano's 49-0 record would be too good to say no to.

Anyone making their way to Eamon O'Kanes fight in Lavey this weekend ? I hope it goes well.

On a sadder note, condolences to the McCullaghs a well known boxing family in Derry City today as they lay to rest Dean, brother of Tyrone (who after a very successful amateur career has recently turned pro). Dean was a big gentleman who loved his boxing and will be sadly missed by anyone who ever came into contact with him.
ive just turned green after reading this. I with ten other lads went over for the PAC v Cotto fight a few years back, half went to the fight the other half paid the 50 bucks to the screen viewing. The hall is massive with 8k in attendance and the screens are huge and i mean huge. The general consensus between us was that the screen viewing was every bit as good as the fight arena. The bots in the arena where way back in the arena.
Atmosphere was electric, I can only imagine what it will be like his weekend!
And the talent, my Jaysus the talent. I've never seen so many stunners in the one place. And I mean stunners!
