Ashes to Ashes would be the addictive one for me. Under Pressure also (and I'm not a big Queen fan, to say the least).

Heroes for me. Hairs on the back of the neck stand up every time.
I love so many of his songs. Quicksand in Hunky Dory has a very special meaning for me. Heroes is the one that makes me shiver.
Rebel Rebel for the truly original, unforgettable riff. Better than Satisfaction. But Heroes if you're up for an anthem.
John I'm Only Dancing for the tune mind you.
Very hard to pick one but I'll go with Ziggy Stardust, you can still hear its influence on a lot of today's music.

Back in the day I was driving the Ring of Kerry with herself. It had rained all weekend so we spent a lot of time in the car, listening all the time to my music (apparently).
Somewhere around Moll's Gap herself lost the rag and pegged my Best of Bowie cassette (younger folk can google) out the window.
Song that was playing at the time was "Absolute Beginners" so that one stands out for me since.
We actually listened to it the other evening after hearing the news. A good version from BBC archives.

It's funny how generational music is, my 10 year old daughter loves this song and anytime we are in the car just the 2 of us we listen to the Hunky Dory album. Bates the shite out of the other nonsense she listens to!!!

I have to say, I actually don't know 1 song of David Bowie. If someone started singing one I might know it to hear it, but I wouldn't know it is Bowie. Actually the only song I know by him is the Little Drummer Boy duet with Bing Crosby :)

I have a special admiration for the multi-instrumentalists such as Grohl and Jonny Greenwood.
Bowie started on the Sax apparently.

I know the Beatles :) I have a pile of their albums. My music collection ranges from 60s stuff, through Iron Maiden and MEtallica, through to Classical, Rock, and Irish Folk. I just never bothered with Bowie. Maybe I'll try now, but I seriously couldn't even hum one of his songs. I've heard the names, but they mean nothing to me.

The track that stands out in my memory is Five Years from the R&F of ZS , not that it's Bowie's best track but
it was the stand out Bowie song from secondary school in 1973/74 amongst friends. One that was easy to strum a guitar to, that was sung at drink ins, smoke ins and what not, good lyrics, languid song, that gradually built up to a prolonged all in chorus.
