Capt Pat

I thought the game was boring, but a win is a win. With CIty out this is now a more winnable competition.

Yeah bit of a borefest alright. Not sure how Preston failed to score when Neco took that one to the snout.

Really like the look of young Bradley and Morton...and wonderful finish by big Divock!

What a finish from Origi that was !
He was completely anonymous otherwise too! Minamino struggled to get into the game as well.
Positive performances from Morton and Williams. Bradley did ok when he came on.

Liverpool were pretty poor in general, particularly in the first half. So slow to move the ball and not much life up front.

On the positive side Big Klopp hadn't far to drive to get home.

Never seen that type of goal before.  Great instinct and invention to pull that off.  He has it in him to do that.

Honestly, I thought Minamino's was a better finish and a harder skill. All about the timing.

Origi's was great instinct, but not something that I wouldn't expect any half-decent footballer to be able to pull off.

Look, the ball took a deflection, went behind him and he flicked out a heel and got lucky. Fair play to him, he'll get another song written about him while sitting on the bench for the next year or so.

MacAllister the Red headed Argentinian that came on for Brighton wonder is he son of a red head that played for Argentina in 90s?

J70

Liverpool look tired today.

Brighton definitely looking the livelier, likelier team to win this.

Haven't been the same since Keita went off.

From the Bunker

Yeah, look like a team that have given a lot emotionally over the last couple of weeks and today was a day they just could not get into gear.

J70

At least Fabinho and Thiago are close to returning.

Jones was poor today. Ox not great apart from the assist.

Capt Pat

Cheer up. City lost and they will be the team to catch.

Armamike

Don't know what the stats are but would think Liverpool are always a bit more open and prone to conceding when Fabinho's not playing.  Never saw the match but it sounded like Brighton had more than enough chances.
That's just, like your opinion man.

Brighton certainly deserved their point, but at the same time were maybe lucky not to go 3-0 down and that would have been game over.
The disappointing thing from a Liverpool point of view was they never looked like winning it when it went to 2-2, if anything Brighton looked the more likely to nick it.
Fabinho is a huge loss in these games when you want to control things and kill off the opposition.

Liverpool XI: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Van Dijk, Tsimikas, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Henderson, Fabinho, Salah, Jota, Mane.

Subs: Adrian, Kelleher, Thiago, Firmino, Konate, Origi, Minamino, Robertson, Phillips, Morton.

laoislad

So far so good! Two goal leads can be dangerous though!
When you think you're fucked you're only about 40% fucked.
