Well actually only 1 question.

John Dalton won 4 Leinster medals on the field of play with Kilkenny however the 5 All-ireland medals he won were as a non-playing sub. Can anybody out there explain why? Trying to settle a pub argument.

JD came on as a sub in the 2007 Leinster final and started the Leinster Finals in 2008, '09 and '10, so holds medals as a player for those years.  He lost his place in the team prior to the All-Ireland Finals of '08 and '09 so won All-Ireland medals as a non-playing sub in those two years. 

I am guessing you are asking why JD holds more All-Ireland medals than Leinster medals.  He doesn't.  He was a non-playing sub for the Leinster finals of 2006 and 2011.  Overall JD holds six Leinster medals (2006 - 2011 inclusive) and five All-Ireland medals.

Amazing that he never won an All Ireland medal on the field of play!
Leinster medals are nothing to boast about.
