Were Utd players saving themselves for Sunday? Is the FA Cup more important?

I said it a  while   back that United are no better  than last year.  How good is ten hag , who knows ? He may well be  a great manager , but I  think these players are  going  to throw him   under the bus. The likes of Maguire, de gea , martial , sancho ,   Fred etc  just aren't good enough, nor  look interested  most of the time. And  United s answrr  when things aren't going well is to spend 70m on some showboater.  When  what might be needed is  a solid  performer from  Bournemouth or Brentford. So ten hag isn't  blameless in that  regard either ., having bought Antony for silly money

United need 2 or 3 physchos. The likes  of Stuart Pearce , vinnie jones ,  or big Duncan Ferguson .  There are no  leaders. Nobody  to get wired in , and set the tone , and inspire  the team and the crowd. Who would you look to  to  grab a  game by  the scruff? I m struggling to think of anyone.

If these performances continue , ten hag will be gone  in a year , and the whole  circus will continue

Dunno. Think EtH is good and players are for the most part doing better than last year. But you can have game plans, systems, scenarios but when your international centre half does that you can't legislate for it. DDG had a stinker as well and bar pull the gloves on himself I'm not sure what else he can do.
Utd need a clear out and a rebuild.

This mess is on OGS. He bought these shitheads.

It doesn't matter as City will be waiting for them in the final.

A clear out is expensive with players on high wages and long contracts who the club payed a lot of money originally.

It would be a blessing if  Brighton beat United .  As city will trounce  that United team  in the final

Great result, concentrate on winning the league now.

Plus puts to bed that the defenders need an overhaul and regardless of their current position they are toothless and down tools when under pressure.

None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought. Ea

Champions League qualification was always this year's priority and Ten Hag has almost achieved that. No Thursday Cup next season. Recent injuries have shown the lightness of the squad, but that will be rectified in the summer.

Only criticism is has any young English player broken through, Pep has played Rico Lewis & Cole Palmer, Chelsea withLewis Hall.

Yes, qualifying for the Champions League was the Priority (at the beginning of the season). Winning a Cup (even if it is the League Cup) was also important. In fairness, there is only so much that can be done with this crowd, they are a medium term project. Clearing out players is as important as getting in players.

Still an FA Cup to play for. If they get over the hurdle on the weekend, they will more than likely meet a Champions League and Premiership distracted Man City in the final.  Who knows?
