Jonathan Ross has quit the BBC. He'll see out his contract until July, but won't be renewing it.

Don't slag off Andrew Sachs on the radio if you want to keep a job in the BBC. I don't think Ross got the support he wanted from the BBC during and after this incident. Motto of the story is don't slag off OAPs who used to work for the BBC, it is a small pond and all that.
