£1.16 for the diesel at Tesco in Belfast. Haven't bought in the north in years. Seen it at E1.18 in Monaghan yesterday, still well worth my while.

The governement get some money off the motorist - between Duty, VAT on the car, then VAT on servicing, parts, tax on insurance, road tax etc etc !

with all the supermarkets offering cheap fuel in the north, you see a major drop of in the queues for the filling stations dotted across the border.

Fuel should drop a good bit yet. Oil is now at $67 dollars a barrel. At its peak it was at $147.  Queues at Sprucefield this afternoon were unbelievable.
