You can do it online as well from your pc

Aye but works Websense blocks it. When i get to the "payments" page on my Iphone to put in my billing address it won't let me put in address etc. The Iphone keypad does not come up when I touch the section I want to input data to.

only a problem if you have a jailbroken phone and ahve SSH installed.

my phone isnt jailbroken but what is SSH?

well as far as i know you should be alright for now.

SSH is remote access for a jailbroken phone to change themes etc

Mines jailbroken but i use iphonebrowser - not SSH

Acually SSH is only a netwok protocol for allowing remote access between machines, namely Linux and Unix (Iphone OS is variant of Unix) Shells. I think the issue only affected people who did not change default passwords on the Iphone after setting up SSH.

Yeah, I got registered for username and inserted promo code on pc. Then logged into iPhone, but have no wifi to test it out. Seems to be good and for 3 months free, can't not use it.

More info here: http://shop.o2.co.uk/update/skyoffer.html

Also has link to register through sky website and to enter promo code.

Right as I don't read manuals I need to ask a few things..

1- How do I know when I have a wi-fi connection and when am I using up my precious 1gb/month allowance

2- When viewing web page how do I zoom in and zoom out

3- Can i transfer songs from my current itunes folder that I use for my ipod to the iphone.

4- How can I check how much of my 1gb a month allownace is left?

Thats all for the moment

There is a video guided tour of Iphone on this page, on left hand side of web page.

Wi-fi will have a wee transmitter icon beside 02-ie on top left hand corner of screen. Otherwise there will be a 3G icon. You will have to watch te "guided tour" on laptop.

Edit- you can watch guided tour on Iphone.

Plug it into the computer and iTunes should automatically start. If you need a software update, iTunes will alert you.

You will have to update it yourself. As Ziggy says, plug it into iTunes and press the update button and it will check if you have latest version or not.

Also for adding songs, videos etc to iPhone, make sure on the iPhone homepage after plugging into iTunes, you have add songs manually checked, or chose to sync songs each time it is plugged in.

What about the ringtones..Am I stuck with the ones that come with the phone?

Also how good is the bluetooth? as in for a hands free in a car?

use index finger and thumb in pinch position, slide them apart to zoom and and slide back to pinch to zoom in.

Was non-existant before not sure about the new one. I just use the earphones and the mic/on/off button. Very simple and easy to use.

Try audiko.net for downloading ringtones. You can also upload your own mp3's and choose certain parts then convert to correct format. Download and import into iTunes then drag across to iPhone.
