Not strictly an injury but how does one get rid of a black eye ahead of it's time??

Get some ladies concealer or the likes, Leenie, Tyronegirl or Ziggysego should be able to advise in greater detail.

What the feck? What?

went for my first run last night in well over a year (was busy) walked down to the playing fields at Jordanstown and decided to do sprints between the 21's and walk round behind the goals. set myself a target of 10 laps (thats 20 sprints)

was truly fooked afterwards but managed to surprise myself. but my injury at the minute is the heel. very sore and tender. i've played 3 games this year and have ended up with the same pain in same heel. any ideas?

no jokes please ;)

Do you still use those heel extentions?

Why are you starting doing sprints if you haven't ran for over a year? If you rest it for a while it should heel ok........

A great way to stretch that kind of problem is a calf stretch known as an "eccentric" stretch.

It's basically a heel drop of a stair.

Look at the diagrams - the one with b beneath it is what you want to do.

Sounds like the beginning of an achilles problem to be honest. Those stretches very helpful. If it keeps up get it seen to though. Achilles nightmare of an area.

Anyone ever had tennis elbow?

Yep, used this: CT Cream, and it did the trick (no idea how though).

Got a bit of an injury playing astroturf football there. Don't actually know how I did it as don't remember a bad tackle or anything that hurt me. But I'm suffering from a pain under my foot. It's sort of in the arch of my right foot. Felt it sore last week but thought it had mended then played again last night and suffering the same problem. It's sore today when walking. One of the guys mentioned it could be a fallen arch, so I don't know if that's a possibility? Was able to play on, but could find myself running on the outside of my soles rather than on the toes to try and avoid the pain. The pain is sore under my foot when I press in on the middle of my sole and nearly feels like it's bruised. But I'm assuming a bruise wouldn't hurt so badly for two weeks running. I did nothing inbwetween so it got a full weeks rest. Won't be able to get an appointment anytime soon because of work so just wondering on advice? (I know it's hard to with out seeing it!!)

sounds to me like plantar fasciitis. Can be a nightmare of a problem, soft insoles, ibufen, and stretching are your friends here. Don't play football until it's healed

Anybody know anything about a separated shoulder? Self diagnosed on line and it seems to be what I have - collarbone separated from shoulder. Straight to a physio or go GP/X-Ray/orthopaedic specialist? It's not severe - collarbone off about a centimetre. Is it likely to need surgery or just strapping? How long can I expect to be immobilised?

(I know - ask a doctor, but that won't be till Monday. Just interested to know if there's any experience of it here.)
