Fury is a classless cnut, he was bet out the gate there.

Fury's best days are behind him. Don't think he has it in him to win a rematch.

If he gets 3 judges like the middle one he might. That was scandalous that it was a split decision.

Was a strange one alright. Would they rig the scorecards to make it seem tighter to sell the rematch better?

Bizzare that Fury's team sent him out into the 12th thinking he was in control. Not that he'd have got the knockout anyway.

Fury was edging the fight until that 9th round. After that it was all Usyk.

Yeah I thought so too

Boxing is strange in that nobody knows the score during the fight.  They have to wait to the end.

That lends itself to some 'dodgy' scores and results.

In all of sports, boxing, at all levels, seems to be plaqued by dodgy decisions etc. Moreso than any other sport.

Would it be better if half way through the match they announced the scores so then one fighter knows they have to go for it and the other knows they have to box smart

I think a lot of you lads are judging the overall fight on that 1 round in the 9th and then thinking Usyk should be winning comfortably. Looking at those scorecards they look fair enough imo. Fury had plenty of success in the middle rounds, Usyk done well at the start and end and then a few rounds hard enough to score.

Carl Frampton had it 6 rounds each and then with the knockdown Usyk wins 114-113. Though I agree with the above it Fury could/should have been stopped by the ref in the 9th. Seen fights stopped for less.

Quote from: Champion The Wonder Horse on May 18, 2024, 10:41:13 PMBrilliant from Anto Cacace. What a warrior.

That performance from Cacace was right up there with the best we've seen from an Irish boxer. Delighted to see it. Always been one step forward 2 steps back with his career. The video of Frampton cheering him on was brilliant.

Exactly this. It was a close fight except for round 9.
