The Drama.  I actually think I enjoyed it and I fully expected not too.  There are funny moments, wtf moments and some things are just a bit weird.  It can be thought provoking.  6.5/10

Homicide and House of Games. David Mamet screenplays, with Mamet collaborators Joe Mategna, William H Macy and Ricky Jay in each.

Ricky Jay was a top class magician before film so House of Games is excellent with him in it.

If you want a quirky non-glamorous film which will make your partner question your sanity then watch "Brian and Charles" on Film4.

Double Bill of David Leans Oliver Twist and Great Expectations last night. Brilliant stuff.

My only experience of Miss Havisham previously was on South Park. V obviously inspired by the 1946 film portrayal, the not so bright blacksmith especially.

I really enjoyed "Michael" the biopic. It's well done, it's well shot and the music is of course great. I had no idea until after the film and I googled it, that the lead was his nephew Jaafar Jackson.  He does a great job for his 1st film.

Some things are covered that I didnt know about, and I feel some things have been glossed over a bit, but perhaps that is to be expected.  It looks like it'll be a 2 parter.  It'll be interesting to see how they handle the next part.

It will be. As you say, the nephew playing him, the Jackson Estate involved.

The nephew is  going to have to get some serious surgery done for  the next film

Equalizer 3. Solid Denzel film and hes going well at 68[made in 2023].

You dont have to have seen prior Equalizers to enjoy.

Hes settled in Southern Italy in a quaint town enjoying retirement...until local mafiosos interfere and he feels the need to protect his new community.

Some explicit gory scenes though

Sounds very Transportery. Enjoy Denzel and first two films were good
