Hateful Eight 7/10. Fairly enjoyable until it got weird!

No music either, can't recall of django had a soundtrack but thought that was kinda weird
Are you sure? I havent seen it but I think it won a Golden Globe for best original soundtrack or something like that and I recall talk about Ennio Morricone being involved in the score.

Saw Creed, was better than I expected.
I have Creed, southpaw and Spectre all lined up to watch next

Thought creed was excellent and southpaw was a big dissapointment.

Spectre in my opinion never really got going, could have been great. It got alot of praise but to be honest I'm unsure why.

Agree on Creed and Southpaw, but thought Spectre was very good.

Solace is next on my list.
Watched solace last night.  Thought it was shite.  Poor script, some dodgy acting and bad lines.  Anthony Hopkins done his best, but even he couldn't save it.  3/10

Jesus that's nuts. You're right. I recall the music at the opening scene and after that don't recall any of it! Maybe the IPA didn't help.

Great movie.

Reckon I was the only person in the world going "That guy with the beard looks awfully familiar to me...I know I've seen him in something...."

For those who liked the tv drama  Deutchland 83  and need another fix of  Stasi infected East Germany,  peeling brown paint, instant coffee, the reassuring rattle of a Wartburg engine etc. then Barbara (2013) is a most satisfying watch.

By now, probably most would have seen the acclaimed Lives Of Others, whereas Barbara is a film which is under the radar and needs a well deserved plug.

Saw The Revenant last night. I enjoyed it - 7.5/10 for me.

As previously mentioned the storyline is a bit so so but visually it is outstanding!

I just couldnt get on board with The Revenant, I think it tried too hard.

Some great cinematographer granted but this alone doesnt make the film.

Saw Creed the other night. Enjoyed it - 7/10 for me.

Has anyone seen In the Heart of the Sea?  Was going to give it a whirl

Main Street

Phoenix  2014  http://www.rogerebert.com/reviews/phoenix-2015
is yet another understated and brilliant film by  Christian Petzold and is there an more alluring yet aloof and stunning actress than Nina Hoss? She has to be the actress of the first 1/4 of the 21C. Every role she plays is totally unrecognisable from previous and acted out to perfection.
.4 of us viewed this film together and each had a different take on it.

I haven't but I follow a few movie critics who said to avoid it. It was supposed to be released in (I think) March 2015 but was put back because they weren't happy with the finished cut. They gave it very poor reviews.

Anyone seen Spotlight yet? Was it released in the US in 2015?

Haven't seen it yet but looking forward to watching it. Not a lot of talk about it on this side of the pond. Wonder how it will be received in Italy.
