Probably could/should have won another couple in the last few years but very far from bottlers.

Won it in 21
Did Cross beat them with a fortunate enough goal in 22?
Clann na Gael bullied them (ref assisted) in 23.
Deserved winners in 24
Lost to a strong Madden side last year. (Missing McCambridge and maybe others?)

Open to correction on the above but either way certainly not bottlers.

Probably second favourites this year behind Madden would be fair to say?

Well with the talent they have at their disposal they should have done much better but my comment was more of a tradition thing where Clann Eireann were always known for being easily bullied and beaten by teams not as good as CE. The current crop do seem to be cut from different cloth tbf but it's still up for debate...CE should be winning Ulster Championships and if they don't win it this year they will have bottled it. I hope they do BTW...

Mustn't know much about Armagh football then, every chance they don't beat the likes of a Madden who are flying at the minute although back to back is practically unheard of in Armagh (bar Cross)

Car be one of the favourites this year. Not sure what the story is with McCambridge at the moment tho. Anyone know if he okayed last night? Heffron?

In fairness illdecide knows plenty about Armagh football and I think he's 100% right.  CE clearly the most talented side in Armagh football and should have won more county titles at this point.  As he said they should be looking towards Ulster titles.  They could and maybe should have beaten Errigal Ciaran on their run to the AI final.  Poor discipline on TK's part probably cost them that one.

McCambridge played against Cruppen on Friday evening. Looked like he was playing his way into fitness and wasn't really tested as CE blew Cruppen away early doors.
Keep your pecker hard and your powder dry and the world will turn.

Maybe have a point, serious talent there but I think this is also a strong Madden side.

Very very tough to go back to back though and Clann Eireann will definitely want to make up for last year.

Cullyhanna, Harps, Maghery Clanns, Cross and Killeavy in category below that could have a say yet. Would love to see Clann Eireann push on and win Ulster if they get out of Armagh.

I think if it stayed 15v15 we beat EC that day. After that who knows.
Should we have had more titles with the current squad? Probably but hard enough to win back to back titles in Armagh these days and cant take anything away from Madden. Deserved winners last year. Not a great start at the weekend though

And agree about ID. Dont always agree with him - is he a CNG man? - but has a lot of knowledge

I think the Armagh Championship is going to be great this year with so many of them competitive...For me and yes I'm on the blue side of the Town Clann Eireann have the best team in Armagh hands down but that will not gurantee them success and hence why I challenged their mettle (at times). If their new management is the real deal and they have everyone fit and hungry they will win Gerry Fegan.
Madden are a good team too and Champions for a reason but for me they're in with the rest of the chasing bunch (leading the chase). I actually had a wee thought at 16/1 the Clans could be an outside bet for value alone but a few injuries leading up to the Championship will hinder their chances. Cross can never be swept away easily and will still be tough to beat, St Pat's look decent and Killeavy too. Dromintee is getting better and have good young players so yeah should be a good Championship.
As for Ulster I too believe Clann Eireann would have beaten EC in Newry that day, I was at it and I could see the move young Canavan was trying to execute before he actually did pull it off. A lot of CE ones blamed their manager for not taking TK off and keeping 15 on the pitch but hindsight is a wonderful thing, if he'd taken TK off and they were beat anyway he'd have been sacked before he hit Lurgan.

Derry City is a good call. I was flabbergasted that they haven't won the league in 30 years. With their resources that's bonkers.

And with a McClean on a rumoured £10k a week to mostly whinge on social media I cant see that changing.

Beating Kilcoo would've been a big ask for CE that year. Was only a semi final vs the parish club after all
