The likes of Brentford Brighton and Bournemouth are classic examples of how a football club should be run.
All 3 are established premier league clubs now and I wouldn't rule out one of them winning it next 5 years.

Can't see it...their best players will be picked off again like it was a couple of years ago with Wissa, Mbeumo, Norgaard and Toney & Raya the year before...same goes for the other 2 teams.

But this kind of harks back to a discussion from a month or so on this thread.

There are so few genuinely, visibly top-quality players in the EPL, that the "3Bs" are in the best positions of their existence to prosper.

Here's how their formula is currently working out;

1. Source athletic, coordinated and underpaid (by EPL standards) from across the world.

2. Indoctrinate them in playing aggressive, committed, focused team football with the carrot that they'll be noticed by a bigger-spending club.

3. Sell off a batch of those players to bigger-spending clubs, for ridiculous transfer fees.

4. That batch get huge payrises and find themselves as wealthy men with guaranteed contracts, surrounded in their new changing room by players of a similar ilk.

5. That batch inevitably flounder at the bigger-spending clubs, who also have to keep them on their books until those contracts run out.

6. Meanwhile the 3Bs have already gone through steps 1 and 2 above, and subsequently have a whole new batch of coordinated, athletic but not overly special lads ready to move along, to bigger-spending clubs who really should know better, but never seem to learn.

And after a handful of cycles what we end up with is some of the biggest clubs in England falling down with underperforming players who used to look good at a smaller club, whilst the smaller clubs are just as good as they were a decade ago.

The biggest problem the 3Bs face at the minute is that Arsenal have developed an aura whereby even though they're no more than a solid team, most of the EPL are beaten before they play them, which means an unattainable 80 point target for Brighton, Bournemouth, Brentford. If somehow Arsenal's aura can be reined in a little, it's genuinely open season on any of the 3Bs mounting a serious title challenge.
