Whether VAR find the other lad offside depends on a range of factors: league position, importance to Sky ratings, whether or not there's been enough stories this weekend to keep the "entertainment" going. Rarely has anything to do with rules.

One of the lowest quality Manchester Derbies I've ever watched. All the red card did in the end was probably prevented a bigger margin of defeat for the home side.

On saying that it's since confirmed the games only goal should not have stood.

It's not as if they hadn't previous experience of going a man up early doors at OT and still managed to get beat 0-1.

Poor decisions for the red (which is probably a red in the modern era) but the assist king Bruno should have got a red for his wee kick at a player prone on the ground.

As for the goal, the feckin rules are so complicated now that even the referee and VAR made a balls of it.

I'd love to see a camera angle (A real one, not that fecking computer generated thing they put up)showing Haaland being onside.

Other than that, anyone with a brain could see the other lad was clearly involved in the play and was a mile offside, brutal call.

Bruno probably lucky enough, a yellow each and you wouldn't really care, neither were exactly life threatening boots to the other player.

Deserved nothing from that game and got exactly that. City are very average as well but will be delighted with 3 points there.
