I was off the board since Friday. Great result for the Turfmen in the Offaly battle with the Lummoxes. Now to see if I can dent the Chargers' hopes. Fantastic run in with 2 regular season weeks left. 9 teams still in contention for the remaining 3 'Superbowl' slots, with 7 of them all within a game of each other.

The new name League Champs 07/08 may be a little premature, but such confidence has to be excused on the back of results and performances like this. In 3 years of the GAABoard Superbowl, one cannot recall such a large total in a single week, and by virtue of it, and the now 11-1 mark, the clear leaders of the regular season find themselves guaranteed a position in the Superbowl playoffs, and 1 more win will surely clinch top seeding as well. The warriors were simply unable to compete with Donovan McNabb (QB-PHI) out, but truth be told, they would have needed about 5 Donovan McNabbs playing well to close this gap. Tom Brady (QB-NE), Robbie Gould (K-CHI) and the Seattle Defence tried hard, but to no avail. Sometimes words are unable to describe events properly, so a look at the bare statistics may be better when it comes to the BwPP squad in week 12.

Pretty impressive stuff, and all in all a strong statement to the rest of the league as they sail imperiously on to 11-1, while the warriors need to forget this very soon, as they are still well in the running at 7-5.

And with just Monday night football to go its not over yet :

2nd through 9th are all in with a shout, only the league champions are a cert. All to play for in the last week, there are 5 times on 9-5 Hitmen, chargers and rossies are in charge of their own destiny, but must accumulate not only the win, but sufficient points to keep themselves above the warriors and the rams, who could still win and outscore the others to sneak into the last 4. Hitmen's point total looks untouchable so if he wins there's really only 2 spots in the mix. Should any of three  of the 9-5 teams lose next week then one of the 8-6s could still have a shot at the fianl 4 but thats a bit of a long shot.
The tommy murphy cup is all to play for though...
