Their marketing "gurus" (such people don't have job titles like mere mortals that have to do actual work) get their day out, get to shake a few hands, talk some shite and maybe even a free pint or 3 on the company card afterwards.

It's all softening us up for professionalism. We can't have intercounty players working. He coukd be a pro elsewhere, pay him. Once those grants came in of course they would be back looking for the government to increase them.

The purpose of the GPA is to milk the GAA's administrators for everything they can.

They would have no ostensible reason to get sidetracked by player welfare issues, unless doing so provides further opportunities for milking.
