If the Irish passport gets him to Spain at 16 (as a free agent too) least the father can do is have him switch allegiance to the country that gave him a couple of caps. Probably easier to do that than change his name.

Obviously the ££££ signs are flashing, seen lots of stuff that United have already 'invested' significant money into the father in an effort to keep him.

He's definitely being badly advised.

But Jesus if he can't pause and say to himself I'm at one of the biggest clubs in the world that are renowned for bringing through young players, if I put the head down here I could be a star in a few years then theres something wrong.

If he thinks the answer is fecking Real Madrid then he was born with brains in his feet and nowhere else. Could see a case for Barcelona but even thats a massive ask.
