A title winner with four teams in three countries and a champions league winner. Sounds about right for Manchester United. Looking forward to the transfer window now and returning to winning ways next season.  8)

It's not just the manager and players, he has to rebuild a backroom team.
Time to take a more chill-pill approach to life.

I expect the class of 92 will be involved in his back room team. The next 4 games could be Giggs' trial for the number 2 job. Both Van Gaal and Giggs are big into an attacking game so I would not be surprised if he got the job. I hope this means Utd will be exciting to watch again as they were rank this season even in the games they won.

He is no slam dunk to succeed and wouldn't have been Man Utds number 1 choice if others were available. Sacked from his last club job at Bayern. He will certainly be an upgrade over Moyes, that's for sure.

I can just imagine him with that eye patch...

He is the number 2 with Van Gaal at Holland, seems to be that he will be part of the management with Utd, wherever that would leave Giggs.

All the speculation now suggests that Van Gaal it will be, with (as Rodney said) Patrick Kluivert as his No.2. He will also bring his own goalkeeping coach and physio. The bit concerning me are reports that he will have a budget of 80 million(100 million). This is less than half the budget that Moyes was reportedly going to have..At today's inflated prices, that won't go far enough. If that figure is accurate, seems like he'll need to get selling.

Or keep most of the players and get more out of them than David Moyes did.

The good times return. Lovely blazer too. You could get a woman with a blazer and a stubble like that.
