Probably will not win the league again until the club changes owners or the owners themselves change their outlook and personnel around them. Inept decisions from the top means success is unlikely. Ferguson was able to succeed despite the owners but he was a one off.

A draw a fair result in such a mediocre contest between two sides that won't be finishing in the top 5 this season. So many of those United players have already checked out, any team United play in the remaining 8 games with something to play for should be able to collect an easy 3 points.

He really wasn't. Rangnick must be baffled as to how he (and MU) are in this fix. Players like Shaw, Maguire, Wan Bissaka, the quite appalling Pogba, McTominay, a grossly-underachieving Rashford have either thrown in the towel completely or aren't near the standard required. No canny manager with any ambition would touch this job at the moment.

Man Utd have had 2 long cycles of glory glory followed by shite from say 1952 to now. Busby was a world class manager. So was Fergie. The Munich tragedy happened during the first cycle
  Each won a European Cup. None of their serial loser successors did. Fans join during the glory years and hang on in the rollercoaster during the mediocre years hoping for a new  cycle. The Glazers are also part  of the problem .

Champions League Football won't be there to attract up and coming or even established players.

United will need to spend on a BIG name established Manager. Who will gain respect in the dressing room and will attract Big players.
