A Russian drone caused property damage and injured two people in Romania last night. In the context of the invasion that is quite significant as Russia has been known to breach Romanian airspace since 2022 but this is the first time material damage has been caused. Not least as Romania is a NATO state.

Robert Fico of Slovakia seems to be demanding no criticism of Russia on the back of the destruction.

Zelensky has renewed calls for face to face talks with Putin. Of course Putin refuses and reiterates that his redlines remain the same.

It will be interesting to see what the "whatabout diplomacy!" brigade have to say about that.

Putin is now in a 'must win' situation. And there is no reason to believe he is getting any closer to his owns aims. He has now resorted to concern-trolling the World economy in relation to Russian Sanctions. Russian assets are now struggling to sell not only due to sanctions, but also thanks to Russian internal policy whereby the state can simply take assets from their owners (and then nobody wants to buy it for fear of losing it at the stroke of a pen).

Could go on to Putin kicks the bucket or overthrown, cant see him bcking down, Russian soldiers meant nothing to him, so unless theres a revolt. The mistake made by tje US and European countries was not giving the Ukraine enough weapons at the start. Didnt happen unti Russia had already a serious footing in thd Ukraine. They used more weapons in 3 months for Israel than they did in over 4yrs for the Ukraine.

There's a doc called The Other Side.. So a filmmaker or documentary maker goes in on the Russian side of the war, along with the locals and Russian army, gives a different perspective but doesn't give much hope or any sense that either side, especially the Russians in this doc, that there will be any resolution.. The Other Side really demonstrates how brainwashed the Orcs are. The repetition of Kremlin talking points is quite extraordinary. They appear completely brainwashed, and genuinely believe the nationalistic lies, and the motives of Putin are taken at face value.

That documentary was made a couple of years ago, and Russia is a long way from having similar mindsets on the frontline. It's well known that young men from deprived African cities are being induced to come to Russia under false pretences and are being thrown to the frontline. North Korea are also providing people.
