What a game!!!!!!! Serious effort by both teams who will hopefully be there at the end of the Championship when it really matters ... though they played that game like their lives depended on it

Just before the tony kelly free to equalise there was a blatant free to waterford they'd have scored. That aside though not much. Feel sorry for waterford but the championship match could be different.

Clare looked a lot fitter last week but this week not the case. Should be a good match.

Cant help but think that the Munster championship will be a bloodbath and Kilkenny will slip in for another handy one. The only advantage that the Munster teams have is that they will have competitive games

Great credit for Clare in hanging in there and pouncing at the end. Very enjoyable game.

Reckon handpass rule  should be done away with and simply allow the ball to be thrown like it was done today all through the game. Laughable the throws at times today.

In most cases it was fine there wasn't too much throwing, very hard for the ref to see it in fairness and this could be helped by the linesmen..

The throws i thought were a lot less than normal today but they do seem quite prevalent in the modern game.

Really looking forward to these two meeting in the championship now. Must get to a munster championship game some day.

It was frustrating to lose that game after leading the whole way. Jamie Barron outstanding  again for Waterford while Tony Kelly won it for Clare on his own. Waterford fans very annoyed  with Diarmuid Kirwan decisions in final seconds and also felt equalising free went wide. Davy Fitz was a disgrace on sideline coming on to pitch roaring about a head high challenge  that saw Austin Gleeson go off with a cut. He did not think it was a free! That should have been a card as well. Great game compared to last week. We will be looking for revenge in a few weeks after having league title snatched from us.

I didn't get to see the game nor the highlights last night, but did anyone on RTÉ big up the Div1b winners as we all know being in Div1b is akin to being in some hurling wilderness.

And IF Offaly beat Kerry in 2 weeks time, they'll be playing Laois, while Westmeath will be playing Galway. That's madness.
