Mitchel boys expected Achill island here

Not sure why, they were big outsiders in the betting.

Young Martin Towey.. 37 years young. His pen pic in the program is in black and white.

Stellar stuff in the second half, Croans totally outclassed Killanin, going from one point down after the first score of the half by Killanin to seven up. Well done to the Ballintubber lads.. now it's up to the Mayo Tubber to do the double..

Big congrats to St Croans. To beat the best Mayo,Galway intermediate sides so comfortably takes some doing.
The key to success is to be consistently competitive -- if you bang on the door often it will open

Get off the Rhu bandwagon ya ****** :-[
Couldn't make it due to work reasons but heard most of Willie's commentary which as usual was full of nonsense but most amusing.
But you'd get little or no info on what was actually happening in the game at all.
Well done Croan's and nice to see another Connacht Title coming to our fair County.
Who are the  Leinster reps or have they finished yet?
Davy's given us a dream to cling to
We're going to bring home the SAM

So we lost the senior by 5 pts, the intermediate by26 points an the junior by 24 points.  What a shambles.  Dark days for sligo football.

Hopefully calry can do better in the hurling.

Would be concerned about Intermediate and junior results but have never been competitive at these levels before
Our Intermediate reps haven't been all that less competitive than their senior counterparts since that competition was brought in. Just the two finalists in each (Curry and Harps senior, Calry and Bunninadden inter), copped hidings in both (Harps v Brigids, Mullinabreena v Melvin Gaels), and a mixture of credible but losing performances and what-might-have-beens along with more disappointing displays, little difference otherwise. The Junior is another matter, since we've been absent largely since second teams were banned, with intermittent appearances by ourselves, Ballisodare and Cloonacool, none of whom would have had much expected of them, Pat's ought to have done better the year they were in it though.

Blowitupref

HT corofin 0-7 ballintubber 0-4 only one point from play for tubber in that half while corofin have six from play.
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

maigheo

Systems failure for Ballintuber . 0.04 to 2.09 with 16 min to go.

Fair play to Corofin. Completely dominated the game today. They really seem to be on a mission this year. Still some stiff tasks ahead of them though. Hard luck Ballintubber.
