don't think the London match is being broadcast anywhere.

The U20 football final against Westmeath is live for free on Down TV at 2.15.

The hurlers in the McDonagh cup v Laois is live on clubber TV at 3 for anyone looking to watch those games

Good few changes to the team this week again. Good to see Laverty using the panel and giving lads a chance. Best way for these lads to develop. Hopefully a big win followed by a bonding session for the lads in London.
I see Tracey has joined the panel too and is sub goalkeeper. Has Anderson quit and Clarke still not second choice.

No Anderson was over with the squad aswell.

Great win for the u20s. Although it was B competition it was competitive championship and these lads and management showed a bit of quality to win it and there is definitely a few names which would be good enough for the senior grade in a couple of years.

Do those results today mean Offaly are eliminated from the group, and Down have topped the group? Because of the head to head rule? Will be a total dead rubber the last group game against them.

What a result and display.. guts and intelligence throughout and didn't panic when they went behind early in the game. Congrats to team and management. Let's hope we get a good few of these lads through to seniors.

See Owen McCabe back playing for Carryduff? Hopefully over his injuries and gets a good run of games, maybe see him back in a Down panel before end of the Tailteann Cup.

Point-to-Point

No sign of Splash or any hurling chat lately?

Used to take a bit to do with it and we'd have a couple boys in the parish playing for different clubs- nice to keep up with the club and county scene.

Would love to see the hurling resurrected in our club.

Anyone any word on how the leagues are going or how Down have been faring in the Joe McDonagh?

Ambrose Rogers was very good on the GAA Social podcast this week.
Very open & honest chat about a lot of tough times.

Talked about his injury in 2010. Made me think it might be the one that got away!

Good win in Croke Park for the U20's. Although it is B grade, hopefully encourage a number of the players to buy into the county system. Good year for the senior hurlers, Division 3 and Joe Mcdonagh status retained - however lack of clubs providing hurling making it difficult to push to next level.

Truth hurts

There's more clubs providing hurling than there ever was in Down, the All county P4 and P6 blitzes have kids from teams and area's that haven't fielded in such a long time and in good numbers and long may it continue.
