Tyrone native Quinn primed for Dubs start
TYRONE native Paddy Quinn could make his competitive debut for Dublin in this Sunday's Bord na Móna O'Byrne Cup clash against Carlow.
Quinn featured for the Dubs in this week's Evening Herald/Dublin Bus Dubs Stars challenge at St Peregrine's and after putting in a solid display could be rewarded with some game time in Dr Cullen Park.
Quinn has been one of Na Fianna's most consistent forwards since joining the club five years ago and last season was instrumental when captaining the St Mobhi Road club to their first Dublin AFL Division 1 title since 1979 when his goal was crucial in their 1-11 to 0-10 victory over St Sylvester's in the final at the end of November.
Dublin will compete in Group B of this year's O'Byrne Cup which will be played on a round-robin format - with games to follow against DCU (Wed, Jan 9) and Wicklow (Sun, Jan 13). The top county in the four groups progresses to the semi-final on January 20.

Wonder will he make the team for Sat 16th March v Tyrone in Croker?
Anyone know him or where he's from?
How long's he living down here and is he any good?

On another note. Did anyone ever see this film. Its very good

Went to school with Paddy (St Pats Academy). He's from Derrylaughan and would be 31 or 32.

Haven't seen him in a few years now so not too sure how long he's down there

ONeill

A Derrylaughan man indeed. Never played for Tyrone at any level as far as I know but lined out for London for a few years.
I wanna have my kicks before the whole shithouse goes up in flames.

Syferus

At least one of ye has a shot at an AI, aye?  :-X

A lot of switching about going on lately, surely more than ever before in the modern era?

Boghopper

I know Paddy well he has been living in Dublin for a while and has been playing for Na Fianna, he always was a key player for Derrylaughan. He is a very dedicated lad and I wish him nothing but good luck!

I thought the dubs didn't play outsiders?

Aha! Many of us suspected they played with themselves all right.

'Naturalised' outsiders who haven't played IC for their home county at any level and who've been playing club football in Dublin for five years would be a different situation to your common garden IC mercenary looking for a few bob.

Is he 31 or 32 though, as mentioned above? That would be a strange age to be coming onto a panel. I may dust off the auld boots. Oh hang on, not 39 or 40?

I would've said late 20's but that's only a guess - can't imagine he'll still be around come the league.

I thought that too, especially as the Dubs had a Tyrone (Vincents) man/spy in the Dublin background panel the last 3 or 4 years.
